We own 160 points at SSR and 110 at AKV

Kinda cool to see so many people here on the DIS boards located close to us... We live in Orland Park, located about 35 miles SW of downtown Chicago. Currently, we own 200 SSR points with constant thoughts of add-ons swimming in my head As an aside, I am curious how many choose to drive down to WDW??

On our most recent trip, my family and I decided to drive and I must say we were pleasantly suprised to find that it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be... Really enjoyed the freedom of having our van available down there!

Hi Ken,

Growing up, my family of 5 only flew our first time down to WDW. All of the other times, my Dad drove. My Mom didn't drive at the time, so that was a lot of driving for my Dad! I have to say those were some of the best times I can remember. We always played road sign games on our way down to pass the time. We would stop in Tennessee or Georgia and stay the night. We would make stops to the cheesy tourist traps like Ruby Falls. And no trip was ever complete without a few stops to Stuckey's. Now that it is just my son and I, we always fly, but I miss those days of driving.
