ILL Wi-Fi or cell data?

Posting from the uk and not sure if anyone will have the answer but do you need to be on Disney Wi-Fi when selecting individual lightning lanes/ genie + or can you use your mobile data? And anyone heard of any issues with UK data roaming being used and any issues?

You can use data. That's what we did in March to get Genie+/ILL. Not sure of any UK issues though.

I'm not from the UK/not aware of any issues specific to the UK, but you don't need to use the Disney wifi to book Genie+/ILL. If anything, I recommend using data instead. On my last trip I unknowingly used the wifi (forgot to switch it off) to try and book a Remy ILL but by the time the page loaded it was sold out for the day.

I’m not from the UK, but am from out of country (Canada). I originally tried using data, but the system randomly (not always) thought I was back in Canada (yes, I had access location turned on) and I couldn’t do anything until I rebooted and turned on Wi-Fi. I gave up on data and used Wi-Fi.
If you miss a booking at 7am (crazy Wi-Fi traffic) then keep trying. They “drop” new timeslots a few minutes (sometimes 25 mins) later.
