I'm trying to get this straight in my head. We will be at DW this August ( I know, heat, but it is what it is)
So we arrive on a Mon, pool resort time at Dolphin.
Parks Tues, Wed, Thurs, Friday head to Port Canaveral for Dis Cruise. We will has 3 day park hoppers

So originally had thought to do
Tues MK til late afternoon, then hop to Epcot for dinner, non World Showcase rides and the easy boat ride home to Dolphin
WED AK, til late afternoon, then hop to Epcot for dinner and World Showcase rides
Thurs, HS til mid afternoon, then hop to MK to reride favorites or something we didn't get to do Mon, might hop back to HS for late fantasmic show,. Or might do MK til noon, then HS but would prefer doing early entry to HS, to avoid the longer lines later.

My grandchild has a DAS, so we probably take a few extra breaks than others, but we use headphones when it gets too loud and she needs a break, and Genie or ILL or standby when she's not going to do something. One reason I like hopping to EP or HS in the evening is to keep her out of loud crowds and long waits for busses. Also better food for dinner, I think.

So as I understand it to ride Tron or Gardians, I will need to get a VQ spot that let her use the DAS to access the LL for those attractions. But to get a VQ spot I have to have a park res for EP or MK to do this, as VQ are available at 7am and 1 pm, so both are before park hop time.
I might have to do ILL, do you have to have park reservation to do ILL if have hoppers?

I do know that MK have extended hours on Wed, but complicating our trip, I will be having to pick up my niece at the airport on Wed around 10 pm, she is going with us on the cruise and DW on Thursday. She had a commitment that meant she couldn't join us at the start of the trip.

Correct that a boarding group is required to use DAS. I believe you can still attempt the "1pm" VQ after hopping to EP at 2pm and boarding groups have been available. You need to have tapped in at EP to try. Also, Dolphin may qualify for EEH, though I'm not sure of the dates if that aligns with your visit; there is a 6pm VQ for those eligible for EEH.

No, park reservations are not required for ILL$ but a hopper or annual pass is required.

Thanks. We will be in the parks Tues, Wed, Thurs, so will miss EP extra hours. We won't get to MCO until 2pm, we'd rather do the pool and/or mini golf rather than pay for a partial day. We will be fine with whatever we get to do; this trip was only supposed to be the DCL Wish trip, I got "talked into" a couple of day at Disney beforehand. Granny is a pushover.
