My local ice cream shop just charged me $8.25 for a small one scoop ice cream! It was only $5 something last month... Now sprinkles are an extra .50 cents too. The whole menu changed and even the smoothies that cost $4.50 or so are now at the $8 range.


The scoops are no longer overflowing and instead its an exact scoop. Its very unfortunate since that might really put them out of business. Then on the other hand if they didn't raise prices it might take them out of business. Its a no - win situation.

Are you getting ice cream at Dean and Deluca in Manhatten??? because those prices seem a wee bit high, well, actually, they seem to be in the ridiculous range. I sure hope this is not crappy baskin and robbins! at those prices!

Hopefully, Mom and Pop have a Plan B for when their shop goes out of business!! who on earth would consistently pay those prices?. You can set up a do it yourself sunday bar at home cheaper!!

Unfortunately they prob won't be open much longer; I can't imagine them staying in business with those prices. It would be one thing if they were a fancy "boutique" -esqe store but that doesn't sound like that's the case.

Most places i go too you pay before they serve, so i would have said never mind and walked away. Now if they serve before you pay, i never start eating until i pay, so i would have handed the cone back.
