I'll take ANY Disney..or Carribean Beach questions!! My wife and I just returned from yet another Disney adventure. We stayed at Carribean Beach this time, but have stayed at other Disney hotels as well. We have become Disney experts...somewhat!!
If anyone has questions....we would be happy to answer....or try to help in anyway. Fire away, and we'll to our best to reply. Thanks!

I have tons! We arrive at CBR on 8/6, and have never stayed there B4. My MAIN concern is the bus system. Specifically, how long from room to park. Will we need to allow 45 min or more to get to MK? Did you go to any waterparks? I am concerned that we will get off the bus to find TL at full capacity and then have to waut 30 minutes or longer to be picked up again.Do they have the Mickey Waffles at the food court? Tell me the good, the bad and the ugly about this resort. We have stayed at ASMU and CR in the past. We wil also be celebrating DS9th b-day there, does this resort appear kid-friendly? Crowds? We are generally night owls, not EMH people, did you do an E-night? How did check-in go? I an SO happy you posted, I have been waiting anxiously for a CBR post!

I am also very happy you posted. We are going on Aug 30 and staying at CBR. We have stayed at ASM and CR on site. Two very different resorts. Am excited about first time at CBR.
What bldg did you stay in? Was it a long walk to the food court? What time do they close? Did you use room service, and if so any good? Hard to tell from pix Ive seen, is it truly a food court with different food stands? or one big cafeteria style restuarant?
What about the main pool? Was it crowded? Does it have a shallow end for kids? I have a million questions, but I will start with these. Oh and did you like it at this resort? Any problems?

Thanks so much for this post.

I am sorry I deleted my response since someone had a problem with me answering the questions. The last time I checked these boards were for people to post their responses. Typically you will find more than one answer to the questions.

Why don't you give the OP a chance to answer the questions that were asked of him.

Hello everyone. Thanks for your questions, and sorry I didn't get a chance to answer your questions. SafetyMom was a big help to me before I went, but I thought she would give me a chance to answer, seeing as I started the thread. If you have anymore questions, please re-post, and I'll answer them as quick as possible. I'm hear to help.

My main tip for CBR is to get your room request in soon. Just call the hotel. Martinique and Trinidad North are the closest, but fill up quick. Aruba is good, which we stayed at, but we were in building 56...which is the farthest walk in the section...BUT...clostest to the bus stop to the parks. For us...we are a young couple...it took us about 7-8 min. to walk from the food court/pool. You will have to walk over the bridge to the other side of the resort. It's a very nice walk, BUT it was very very hot!! 94 + humidity = high heat index!! Overall it was another great Disney experience for us, and we have stayed at Wilderness Lodge for our honeymoon, AS Sports, Dolphin, Contemp.

Ask anything!! We'll do our best to answer!!

how crowded was the resort when you were there?(yes Tigg2418 this question is for you) Saftey mom has also been a big help to me as I have never been to Disney World before let alone the CBR. I think maybe shes just feeling a little over protective like with a child, she probably feels CBR is her baby and who can blame her shes been there more times then most of us.But that said thank you Tigg2418 thanks for posting and I can tell from your post that you must have really enjoyed your stay at CBR. Were there any negatives that really stood out to you? I will be there in 4 days and I can hardly wait!!!!!! thanx Mimimom:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

No I am not feeling overprotective. I just did what I usually do which is answer questions. When I see posts I try to post an answer quickly because I know people are very interested in getting information for their trip. Just trying to help.

The only negative that stood out was that we were in building 56...a little bit of a walk from the food and the pool. For us...we are young w/o kids, it wasn't a big deal. Just make sure you request a closer area. If you don't get it, you'll still be fine because it is so nice to walk around the beautiful grounds of the resort. DON'T FORGET, there is also a bus that runs continuously around the property from village to village. We took advantage of this during the afternoon hours when it was very hot to walk all the way over to Port Royale.

The crowds weren't bad at all at the resort!! Once again, the resort is so big, that people get spread around. During early breakfast, and dinner time, the crowd builds up a little, but nothing like it is in the parks during "feeding time." We rarely saw many people around our building in Aruba, but we really weren't at the hotel much of the time.

Be ready for crowds in the parks. All 4 are VERY busy. Biggest tip....take advantage of fast pass! It really does work, and saves you from standing in line, in the heat, at your favorite rides.

Once again if anyone else has questions....let me know!!
Thanks and have fun!!

Hi Tigg2418 I too received a lot of helpful info from Safety Mom, but I also wanted a second opinion from someone who just got back, so I was excited to see your post.
Was it a long walk to the food court? What time do they close? Did you use room service, and if so any good? Hard to tell from pix Ive seen, is it truly a food court with different food stands? or one big cafeteria style restuarant?

Thanks so much for this post.

:( Is it true they took away the birds on Parrot Cay? :(

I'd like to know how you felt about the quality of the food at Port Royale. We don't usually eat there often but every once in a while it is nice to have the food court to fall back on. We used to enjoy having a dessert out by the Banana Cabana late in the evening but I have heard that the bakery and ice cream service is gone. Did you feel the bakery products were any good? They didn't offer the Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars by any chance, did they? I also got a lot of help from SafetyMom along the way and I know how excited we are to share our info with folks. So, thanks to you both.

I do not post much and usually bite my tounge but I just can't right now. I think you guys are being very rude to safetymom.

The more answers the better in my opinion.

Please don't let this stop you from helping people and answering questions.

I agree. Whenever someone asks a question or posts something there is nothing wrong with anyone else piping in with their experiences and opinions. Just because someone starts a thread doesn't make it "theirs". I find Safetymom to be very helpful and accurate with her info. Safetymom, don't let some posters deter you from offering up valuable info!!!:D

Is there a way to purchase room decor items like the shower curtain, bed spread, and the framed photo on the wall?

Safetymom - Please don't stop chiming in. That is what these boards are all about. To see everyone's answers and opinions. I have learned alot from you and enjoy reading your posts. Tigg2418 thanks for your offer to respond to questions since you were just at the Mouse House and can offer up to date info. I enjoy reading everyone's responses and opinions. The more the merrier!!!

I'm not expecting a reply and do not want a debate. I know this will be off topic from OP's post but just wanted to say that I don't think anyone is being rude here. If someone starts a "just back" thread and ask for questions, at least let them answer the first set of questions aimed towards them. After that, yes it is open to others. I would never had stepped in on someones thread like that. We should all try to be considerate of each other, even when trying to post helpful information.

SafetyMom has been a big help to everyone and we are all greatful for that. It's just that after a stay at CBR some other people may have different input than SafetyMom might have. Different opinions is what keeps these boards so useful and great.

As far as resort decor, did you try calling the resort directly. I don't imagine that they would sell that stuff but maybe they can put you in touch with someone that can help.

The great thing about these boards is the many views you can get from a single question. It is from these views and opinions that we get our answers. We will not always feel the same way about a certain aspect of a resort and I for one welcome the many views to help me.

So please when a question is asked and you have an answer to it don't be shy or reluctant to share it... Post it.

These are an open fourm and anyone can answer any question or reply to any thread as long as the reply falls in to the posting guidelines.

Ditto!

Sorry, but I am glad safetymom stepped in....

over 8 hours had passed from the time the first question was asked and safetymom stepped in!
And still another hour and 15 minutes before Tigg2418 popped back in.
So I think there was plenty of time to answer.

Let's play nice. I love to get as many answers, questions, opinions as posible!!!

I do have a question....

How are the food courts since the remodel? Do they seem to run smoother?

Was the beach crowded during Illuminations? When we were there last year.....the beach got really crowded and was rather disturbing.
