For the past year I have been having trouble with a couple of my top teeth. It's gotten to the point with one that there is almost constant pain. The dentist has tried everything. I can't remember the number of root canals I have had done. I'm tired of it....And the pain. Tomorrow morning I'm going in and having ALL of my top teeth removed!

Let me back up....tomorrow they will take 6 to 8 out...measure and mold for new teeth......it will take two weeks for them to be made....then I will go back in and have the rest pulled and the new ones put in. After a 6 month healing process permanent teeth will then be put in..... I guess I'll show them!

Ya think this is gonna hurt?????

Ya think this is gonna hurt?????
I refuse to answer on grounds that it may incriminate me. ;)

Naw. Between novicain, laughing gas and pain pills, won't hurt a bit!

Good luck.

.....just wait til the pain meds where off!!!:bounce: Be sure to ask for a prescription....WITH REFILLS!!:bounce:

Good Luck!

i agree with colleen. you won't feel anything during but after... :(

i have never had teeth pulled but i know how much it hurt when they used a laser to cut my gum. i don't envy you at all. at least after the initial pain wears off you won't have to deal with sore teeth anymore.

I had some of my bottom teeth removed and actually it really didn't hurt that much. Pain medication kept the pain at bay and in a couple of days I was as good as new. I have a low tolerance to pain and it takes quite a bit of time for pain medication to start working for me.

Geez, TVT my eyes are watering just reading about it. Good luck!!

sounds like it's going to hurt in the wallet too!

Comforting {{{HUGS}}} to you, Tony....
I've had teeth pulled and gum surgery also....the gum surgery was way worse, by far! A day or so of discomfort and all should be a-ok afterwards. Certainly nothing compared to the continuous pain you've been suffering through, Glad you are finally getting this taken care of :)

Just keep your eyes on the light at the end of the tunnel:sunny:
Sounds like your chronic suffering will soon be over. Best of luck TVT.

I'll be prayin' for you Tony. And I second the advice to insist on refills for your pain meds. I really dislike trips to the dentist, but if you can get rid of the pain, then it will be well worth the temporary discomfort.

 Take care Tony...and your new best friend will be VICADIN!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, you're doing right for yourself. You may want to look into any recipe's for foods in a blender;)

:earseek: :earseek:

Tony are you sure????

I'm not a dentist and I don't know what's going on, but don't root canals take out the nerves in your teeth roots????

If you still have pain after that, isn't the logical deduction that it isn't the tooth that's causing the pain? Maybe something in your sinus???

Good luck, and I hope that your pain free after today!
