Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

I think the two new ones about the Wonder are trolls. Plain and simple.
The Mexican Riviera IS a totally different cruise, with a different "feel" about it, from beginning to end....but there is NO WAY anyone can tell me that the food was that bad, or that Christiaan was a bore. :headache:

If I could get that same grant Irene mentioned, I'd go test it out for myself!;)

AND THE ANSWER IS...

Can you tell now?

Going by this picture I would agree with Monica and say Enchanted Garden.

I agree, trolls. Unfortunately, most of the follow up posts are feeding right into them. I guess I've spent waay too much time on Cruise Critic where they are a little more cynical over negative reviews by first time/low count posters.

The troll posts aside, there's a lot of negativity regarding the west coast cruises, I will hate to see the reviews if the Galveston 2010 rumors are true. Texas cruising has a style and feel all to it's own!

It's funny, because yes, going out of Texas and New Orleans were both different....but I loved the cruises! As long as you go in knowing it isn't going to be the same, to me, it's a new exciting adventure.

Irene, did you have lunch in the enchanted forest?

Just enough teasers on the dectective game - it looks like fun!

DING DING DING DING :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

CoRRect for Monica and Mary......Enchanted Garden

And the prize is.......

SUNSET AT SEA - After such a dreary, wet and cold start, the Sea Day was beautiful weather and we were rewarded with such a blazing sunset.

And Now - Forget the Negativity - Forget the rude guests and the ones who steal - and Forget Everything you ever Knew about Animators ........

You walk into the room and everything is in color ????? Already ????

So what will happen? Notice the server's vests - they don't look reversible ???

And then - Oh Wow --- the walls slide open ----

And you are under the Sea...

86e6efdb.jpg

The photos do not do justice - Disney captured a reef about 15-25 feet under the sea - the look and the feel is perfect. Jim, Stacey - you will love it.

Soon reef fish are joined by familiar friends..

Right Dude!!!!!!!!!

And Crush teaches us to say "Dude"

He had the best time talking to the folks from Melbourne (until we all realized our folks were from a different continent.......)

Remember - Friend's Don't Eat Friends......

All too soon dinner is over - the walls slide back and you are returned to life above the sea.

This was wonderful. A combination dinner show with Crush. It was too short, I wanted to stay, I wanted it to last longer - I wanted more than 2 hours for late dining.....I was not going to go to the Pounding Club.....

Hints ... The food on the regular menu is quite good - more postings on dinner food when I get to scanning the menus. But I would not go hungry. Next time I'd have a snack at Cabanas so that I could focus all my attention on the show. I mean, my table mates actually wanted to have conversation when I was in the under water world - go figure. It was so (overused word) pretty and it was so perfect. Stacey - you are not going to want to leave.

I did not take enough pictures. I also did not bring the long lens - I did not want to run around the room like a crazy person taking pictures and everyone near us was very contained and minded their manners so as not to spoil the show for everyone else. The servers tried to keep out of the way which is so hard as there are screens just everywhere.

What else? Ask questions...ask away.

And today's CHALLENGE - Where did Hedgie go before dinner????

Come on Guess.....

I bet you can.....

Take the plunge --- :lmao: No, it was not the Aqua Duck although Sam is threatening to take her but we will need a willing photographer...maybe on the Wedding Cruise.

I haven't read the West Coast cruise reviews. Maybe I'll take a look and compare to our West Coast experiences.....

OK - read some reviews and there are some common threads.

Embarkation Difficulties - YUP - it seems more people show up very eARLY when Disney opens a new route - this is not surprising. We had issues at the Port as well - additional assistance would help but so would a "go with the flow attitude"....

Food and Serving issues - If life were perfect, then the ship would have a year's worth of sailing experience before it sailed...Silly really - some servers are fine, others need work...sounds like Life - when we all go out to dinner....

Guest and Kid Behaviour -- OK - can you say Late Dining?

Don't get me started on crayons.

The Ports - and weather - Yup, it is not the Carribean - It is cold _ why do you think I took a 7 mil. And it is a foreign county - and there are economic issues. If you want the island adventure don't do the MR. Read more in advance and take advantage of what the ports and culture have to offer.

What else?

very nice ship different some better some I'm not thinking so. luv the large cabin with LARGE port hole and no verandah will do that again
crew yeap they do need work mostly as a team is where I thought it was needed which comes with working together more !!!!!!!! so next cruise I will see how they have improved. boot camp day 1 !!!!!! same group day 84 !!!!!!!

can I go back next week and check on there improvement ??????????????

And today's CHALLENGE - Where did Hedgie go before dinner????

QUOTE]

Hmm, right after you got back, she jumped in with a lot of photos of a certain lounge - so can I guess Pink?

DING DING DING DING DING DING DING......AND YOU ARE CORRECT.

PINK you gotta go, you must see this place - it is way too far out and I mean that. Even if you are not a champagne fan, it is just way to much fun.....
:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

Besides, it is endorsed by Hedgie!!!!

I might just lay down on the floor and cry if I can't sit near a screen!
:rotfl2::rotfl2: (That's not laughing, that's me having my hissy fit)

gaRry....you are the Father of the Bride.....call Sandie and have her make sure we are seated next to a screen!

IwillnotgetupandwalkcloserIwillnotgetupandwalkcloserIwillnotgetupandwalkcloser.

We were seated next to a big window on our Alaska cruise and it was really annoying when people would come stand right behind us as we ate so they could look out. I will not do that to other people. IwillnotIwillnot.....

And tomorrow is Castaway Cay....

AND THEN IT WAS TIME TO GO BACK TO THE SHIP.

Sorry folks, but Hedgie beat me to posting this morning. Here is a little more narrative. Naturally everyone was anticipating a great day at Castaway Cay as the weather cleared and was sunny although still a bit cool. The vegetation on the island did take a hit from the freezes - it is coming back as to be expected.

We bypassed the lines and the character greetings in favor of a stroll (not really a walk) to the end of the adult beach area.

There was a 5K run that morning and it seemed to have many takers. It was perfect weather for a run - Jim.

The Adult beach was already getting full. The hammocks had personal belongs on them with no-one in site. Had I not been too relaxed I might have swung for a while until the owners returned. Instead we grabbed a few lounge chairs in the shade. That lasted for about 10 minutes, not really our speed. So we walked some more.

We have not made our goal of each Tiki Hut on the island in one day. Gotta leave a goal in place for the next trip. :lmao:

We chose to eat at Cookies 2 - which now has a new Tiki Hut in the place where the original sting ray swim was. It is really a Sand Bar - the covered area has small round tables in the sand - nice and relaxing and close to Cookies 2. Sam will have to report on the ice cream - he sampled each flavor.

The food was welcome in the cool salt air. I had the BBQ chicken and plenty of the fresh fruit. Sam had ribs....

We did wander the shops - but no special DREAM merchanise. And we really don't need any more CC T-Shirts....

We did not take the good camera to the island but we still did manage some good shots.

So today's challenge is.....

Where did we eat on our last day on the DREAM (no, we did not snap ressies for Remy or Palo - we did ask....hahahahahaha. They had 5 pages of single space wait list...)

Have a great day.

Is there still room on the far side of the Head's Up Bar, before you get to the private cabana beach, to lounge and swim? That was always my favorite place (before they built Pelican Plunge) because no one went over there....except to do the stingrays and leave.

Yes you will... Yes you will....

You're probably right, and I'm going to smush my nose up on the screen, too. And that would EMBARRASS gaRry....so he NEEDS to call Sandie.::yes::::yes::
