Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

Jay is in the process of making the final financial decision, but it looks like we'll be booking Vanessa's wedding cruise.:worship::cheer2:

He's having a little "sticker shock" trouble with the $600 down....but I reminded him that meant the cruise is already half paid for after that. But I'm waiting now, silently. (I know, a FIRST for me!!)
He does want to go, doesn't want to disappoint everyone....but October is such a bad month for us with everything hitting at once, taxes, insurance, etc. And business is s....l.....o...w.....:guilty:

We're not planning to book until early November. The cruise still has lots of availability; it's not during a high-demand time. (good planning, Vanessa! ;)) We're still trying to figure out where we want to be on the Dream. Since she's still being built, there aren't any "reviews" of good locations!!

We'd love to go...not sure how to handle the dates as that is the time we have the horrible "H" issues in Florida. I am not worried about the cruise ship and it is great timing for everyone. The seas are normally still warm and calm and the island will be a loverly setting. It will be cooler than July. Just not sure if we will be able to leave and not sure if insurance will cover, unless there is an actual hurricane warning. So, we are "planning" on coming, workwise that is. I'll have to sort out if/when to book later. Maybe I can get a deal, call the week before and get a Suite for the cost of a Cat 9.:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Have a great day everyone....

So anyone started a cruise thread yet?

There is a cruise thread for that sailing. I know gaRry, Vicki and Vanessa have posted. I haven't yet, not until we book it.

Keep on "Dreamin'" about that suite deal! I have my eye on either a Cat 6A or 6B aft again.

Here's the link to the thread...full of more Blabbermouths!

Good Morning All....waiting for the puff of wind to blow us all away.

I can report - it is raining.....cats do NOT want to go out. Smart cats.

We are going to work. Dumb humans.

Schools are open. Smart schools......I hope they do not decide to send the kids home at noon. That happened the last time we were in a Tropical Storm situation and it just disrupted the parents schedules.

We will see.....meanwhile, it is wet. Very wet. is there an umbrella smilie?

Why, yes...:thumbsup2

There is....

:umbrella::umbrella:

No rain here...just hot, hot and more hot. :crazy2: I am really ready to be done with the heat, and done feeling sick. Yesterday was a set-back day, I think. I'd felt better for a day or two, so we went out Thursday night and I was a dead critter all day yesterday.
I've been pretty good about not whining up until last night. I whined. I'm tired of this.

I was just informed that that's the DVC member cruise. Wow...you DVCer's really PAY, huh? :goodvibes

While that cruise is more money than a regular DCL cruise it isn't that much. The DVC Member Cruise is actually a charter so there are no bookings offered through DCL. Not sure why DCL has it up at that price.

BTW we aren't doing the DVC cruise this year as in past years. DVC just hasn't brought it like they had in the past.

Now it's coming up as "ERROR" instead of $501,000. ;) I just thought that was funny.

I thought I'd read that you and Mark weren't going this time.

Good morning all. It's been a while since I've been by. Here is quick update of what has been happening here:

  • In two weeks we will be at a recruiting visit at Michigan State
  • Matthew received deployment orders to Iraq, but they were cancelled two days later. No telling when this might happen again. He is disappointed. He was willing to do anything to get out of North Dakota.
  • Clover is becoming a "trail" dog. She loves to run the trails off leash. She is up to 7 miles. I'm happy with that, but would like to get her running on the roads with me. She is a great dog.
  • Regardless of what the news reports, the recession is not over in Florida. My home office decided to consolidate and close all the small offices. There was one in Florida and that was mine. My office was closed last week so I am now looking for a job. Thankfully Sharon has never let me control the money so we are doing fine.
  • Sharon has still not committed to marathon, but she is getting closer. My running has never been better, after all I have lots of time to get in the miles. Poor Clover.

Life is good. :thumbsup2

And I even got a TOP!!!

  • In two weeks we will be at a recruiting visit at Michigan State Fantastic! Best of luck to Lisa!
  • Matthew received deployment orders to Iraq, but they were cancelled two days later. No telling when this might happen again. He is disappointed. He was willing to do anything to get out of North Dakota. Understand wanting to get out of North Dakota, but hoping and praying for a better posting than Iraq. Keep us updated.

Here's hoping the right job comes along quickly.

three times typing a post and three times the computer lost it because it says I'm not logged into the boards after I submit but when I type my post, it does say "Welcome MickeyMo..." testing this one - now watch it will post properly...

ha! It did - so now I'm not tempting fate and typing as an edit.... Here it goes again for the 4th time...

Jim - praying for your family!

Stacey - I know "Slow Down" isn't in your vocabulary, but please take care of yourself! Several of my clients have had shingles to varying degrees and they all said the same thing, they were suprised and frustrated by the fatigue, pain and slow recovery.

Virgil - how are Kristin and Nick? Thought of them this week as another round of layoffs occured Oct 1.

Spent 26 of the last 32 hours with the marching band. Football game Friday and two competitions yesterday. All local - the most we traveled was 45 minutes - it still made for a long day. Mike is battling major cold, sinus and allergy issues. I'm sure the grass and long hours isn't helping his recovery. Breathing is rather important to a musician.

Stacey, sorry you're still not feeling better.

Jim, sorry to hear about the job loss ... hope something comes through for you soon!

Garry, are you doing any better? Sounded like you're weren't feeling well the other day.

It has cooled off here some. Should be a beautiful day for the school carnival today. Looking forward to it but not the 2 shifts that I signed up to work ... what was I thinking?

Ang

Jim - I'm so sorry to hear about the job - I understand the stress....

Monica - Kristin is still OK - but Nick hasn't found anything - he's in Phoenix at the moment doing an internship in hopes of future employment. Boeing continues to tell Kristin she'll have a job... somewhere....
