Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

We were in Downtown Disney with the kids, and had Matt with us too.
A thunderstorm came through, the lightning was awful.
We were trying to hurry when one huge bolt of lightning hit somewhere near the McDonald's and only feet away from us. All the kids took off like their tails had been lit on fire, all screaming (well, maybe not Matt!) and all in different directions...with Moms running after....
:scared1::scared1: We were trying to yell at the kids to stop, we were afraid they'd get lost....and they were already separated from us....but with all the noise, they couldn't hear us.
I ended up running into McD's where I found Jared and Matt, I think the others ended up in one of the stores.

Looking back...is it coincidence that the two boys ran to a restaurant, and the girls ran to a store???
:confused3

Time is really going to start flying for me now. Nine short days til we're in Seattle and then Alaska....back barely 3 days, then to Omaha for Ronan's first birthday (that year went fast!).....then the wedding cruise, then San Fran then back to Omaha for the new baby....whew.....
I'm getting really excited about Alaska......will probably spend half the time lost on a ship I'm not familiar with.

I could NOT believe I had to hunt us down and drag us off page THREE!!
These Boards are definitely busier than the "old days".

Google was not help so perhaps you all will have ideas.

I need a high school graduation present for the girl down the street.

She is attending the community college so will still be living at home.

Cash is always welcome but I wanted to give her a gift - any ideas or suggestions???

Please? The invitations for the son's graduation were sent out in time for some pondering, I had to hunt down the Mom to make sure that the big event was this year and I was not mistaken. Yes, she did graduation yesterday but they are late in getting the invitations out and now the party is this Saturday....:scared1: YIKES.....

Please? Ideas?

Well have you thought of a gift card? Best Buy usually has some great themed ones and I don't know of any teen that couldn't find a use for a Best Buy card. :)

Could it be that we are just less "blabbermouthy" than in the old days?:rotfl:

Right now a lot of the stores (Target, Hallmark) have some really cute graduation-themed picture frames....and some other items along that line.
I can usually find great "teen girl" gifts at Hallmark, believe it or not. And the prices aren't bad. All sorts of pretty little things.

A bit late to the conversation - granted I went away to school but, my much appreciated gifts (and remembered all these many years later )were a small tool set & a travel alarm. I agree the Best Buy gift card or a bookstore card.

Some of you are mantaining conversations on multiple cruise threads, so your chatting is a bit spread out....:)

After a week home, John is back in Louisiana for another 2-3 week rotation. The end of school activities hit a frenzied pace and my parents are visiting this week, so that helped a lot.

Good Morning and we have the most wonderful news.

Sam said "Tell Sir Scuba" - but I will tell everyone.

He had his follow-up colonoscopy yesterday and it was "perfect". The colon re-section was, according to the MD, "A Great Job", all healed and perfect.

Nurse Hedgie had her prescription ready - Sam could select from:

WDW - Raglan Road for lunch
Home and sleep
Vero beach Disney
Home and a day by the pool
Local Hotel
Wartime Museum
The Field.

I really thought he would select Disney at Vero beach - but after much thought it was WDW - So we just got home. And we had a wonderful time.
We are truly blessed. What a change from last year....

The folks at WDW asked what we were celebrating and I told them (well, not the details...we also have pictures but I will spare you those).

And the best of all is that he does not have to go back for 3 that is THREE YEARS. how wonderful!!!!!

Jim - we did look to see if you were on the roof with a beer but we did not see you.

More details later....I am going to catch up on what I missed yesterday and post some cruise questions on the other thread.

Yeah for Sam! Just one more WONDERful thing to celebrate on the cruise!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks guys...

The Best Buy gift certificate was a big hit...just back from the graduation party.

I'm about to try my hand at making fish extender gifts so I am posting on this thread and not the wedding cruise thread. Not sure if the BIG KIDS are getting fish extender gifts however......:rotfl:

That great news about Sam.

I celebrated for him with 2 cave dives today. Since it is 5/22 and I did not cancel, it looks like diving next weekend in WPB is on. :cool1:

Yeah - Thanks for the celebration...where were the dives?

We are hoping for good weather. There is "chatter" about rough seas and a potential tropical storm. DRAT.
