II Question

Am I correct that the points are taken from your DVC account when/if a match is made? For example, say I request to stay in xxx resort in June or July of 2006 and a match is never made - do my points stay in my DVC account (so I could use them at a DVC resort that year instead) or are they forever stuck in II (to be used at another time)?

There are not taken until the match is made. But you must have enough points accessible WHEN the match is made. I have heard once of them floating it for a month or two. And I don't recall anyone getting a match then having it taken away because they didn't have enough points.

I don't think they commit your points until a match is made, AND they call you and ask if you still want this reservation. I'm pretty sure they do not commit the points until you say O.K. Call MS and ask, they can tell you.

If a match is never made, they will not commit your points. A couple of years ago I made a last minute II request that could not be filled, so I simply decided to use my points at OKW with no problem.
