OK, this is my favorite picture of the trip. I was entering the courtyard of this 500 year old monastary in Tibet; I doubt any Westerner had been in this one before as we were in a small village that tourists were not normally allowed to go to. My boss was going to take a picture of me in front of the prayer wheel and this little old lady wanted to be in the picture too. She spoke no English and kept hugging and touching me. Going to this monastary was the best thing of the entire trip, being in there with all of the monks chanting and the villagers praying, and the picture just sort of sums up the experience.
That prayer wheel behind me spins. People walk around it and say prayers as they spin it. This lady was spinning it until that camera came out and then she jumped over to get in the picture. No photos could be taken inside the monastary; we were in the courtyard entrance here.
In the bag she is holding is her lunch. We went on a blessing day and the villagers were spending the entire day there. On a normal day, they pray for 2 hours but this day was special. They sit on the ground and pray all day.

Very cool!!! You may have mentioned, but what line of work are you in that allows you to take such a great trip?

I have no idea...I was ignoring it....
