I definitely agree the sweater made the outfit. It was just so hot in our house while getting ready that she was too hot with the sweater. The minute we stepped out the door, she was freezing.

Kimmar, I was not out in that weather, she was. I was not allowed to go, by orders of the teen, so I didn't chaperone. However, I will be chaperoning her after graduation dance. She said they had a fantastic time, everyone danced, everyone taking pictures, many tears shed and no one got sick. They came home with goody bags -- individual pics on the bow of the boat, plus a graduating class shot, a tshirt with their graduation class pic on it and a towel with their school name and graduation year. Most of all, she took pics with just about everyone and they really enjoyed being together as a class. She's made some great friends these past two years and I know she's realizing she's growing up and it's getting scary for her.

As for Scotlass, she hasn't been feeling well lately -- dealing with migraines. I'll let her know you were all asking for her and that she should stop by when she's feeling better.

AlphabetMom, do you have a balloon in your signature? I can't see it.

Good to see you, er, ignore you. I do believe Kimmar and Wickey will take quite a liking to the first photo. It needs to join the Not another Swine Flu (aka all things bacon) thread.

And, wow, those ARE some grumpy pirates! But, I didn't see any rum. Or crocs, so maybe they were imposters.

I really try to ignore this thread, but sometimes I just can't.

PrincessKsMom- your daughter is beautiful, she reminds me of Natalie Portman.

I apologize if this was posted while I was ignoring, but I thought the Ignorami might enjoy this:

Hey! I resemble that remark.

(Hi, kimmar!)

Have a happy, safe weekend everyone!! :smickey:pixiedust:

Don't you have a feather boa in your closet?

PK's Mom -- she's beautiful!

Wonder how Pakey's doing with the chopsticks.

Hey ignorami, it's so good to be home. All 3 meals I've had have been hamburgers (and made from cow, not yak) and I got to use real napkins, a little touch of Heaven. I'm not sure why there are no napkins in China but someone should really introduce them.

PK, your daughter is so beautiful.

The jet lag has been the worst ever. Wish I could ignore it.

Welcome home Pakey, we've missed you. Hope you have pics of the potty trough to share with us. ;)

Welcome home, Pakey!! Glad you're home safe and sound. We'll give you a bit to get over the jet lag before demanding pictures.

Time's us -- where are they??? ;)

OK, this is my favorite picture of the trip. I was entering the courtyard of this 500 year old monastary in Tibet; I doubt any Westerner had been in this one before as we were in a small village that tourists were not normally allowed to go to. My boss was going to take a picture of me in front of the prayer wheel and this little old lady wanted to be in the picture too. She spoke no English and kept hugging and touching me. Going to this monastary was the best thing of the entire trip, being in there with all of the monks chanting and the villagers praying, and the picture just sort of sums up the experience.

That prayer wheel behind me spins. People walk around it and say prayers as they spin it. This lady was spinning it until that camera came out and then she jumped over to get in the picture. No photos could be taken inside the monastary; we were in the courtyard entrance here.

In the bag she is holding is her lunch. We went on a blessing day and the villagers were spending the entire day there. On a normal day, they pray for 2 hours but this day was special. They sit on the ground and pray all day.
