I have heard no news yet. I expect a call today to set up an appt but I've got my fingers crossed that they call and tell me the scan showed the mass is benign.

I'm too old for the big hair phase. If I had a scanner, I would post a pic of me from the 80's during my anorexic days. At one point I weighed 72 lbs (I'm 5'8"). So I do have this lovely pic where my glasses were bigger than me.

And I miss Seinfeld.

Everyone looked anorexic with those huge glasses, although 72 lbs at 5'8" had to be unhealthy. Glad you're better now.

My news was not what I had hoped for either. The CT scan was inconclusive so now I will have a PET scan to determine if the cluster of white cells on my lung is cancer. If it is, they will then biopsy to see if its a metastisis of my former breast cancer or a new primary lung cancer.

But the CT scan shows I have emphesema. So I guess if the cancer doesn't get me, I have that to look forward to.

Pakey, I'm so sorry this isn't what you were hoping to hear. Please don't give up hope because of the emphesema or the potential cancer. My grandmother had emphesema for years and years and managed with it very well. You have two wonderful trips coming up and I hope you leave those tickers right where they are.
