Would you have a preference to where your room was located? We have requested a queen and bunk bed for our stay in March and I'm just curious as to how deep the hotel really is. When we stayed at the Desert Inn ....I didn't like walking so far back to our room late at night. Although I'm bummed we won't be at HOJO's this year (loved it last year)...I'm excited to try a new place that is SO close to crosswalk. Any other pros/cons about the Park Vue you're willing to share?? Pics?? Heard the breakfast included pancakes and waffles too??? Thanks

Haven't stayed there and never will. I had to cancel a reservation with them one time. I canceled a week prior to arrival, well within the 48 hour policy. They ended up charging me for 2 nights anyway. When I disputed, with my cancelation number, they refused to refund my money. After numerous phone calls I finally had to dispute the charge with my credit card company since Park Vue refused to do anything.

Sorry you had problems with them got2travel. I've been staying at Park Vue Inn for the last 7 years and have never had a problem with them.

MommyWithDreams, your feet will love you at the end of the night! It's just a short walk across the street and you're home! The breakfast includes muffins, pastries, hot and cold cereal, waffles, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, orange and apple juice. The quality is pretty basic but it's free and a good way to start the day!

I prefer my room to be towards the back. It just seems a little quieter tucked back away from the busy street. I hope you enjoy your stay there. You can't find a better location!

We stayed there in September and requested a room towards the back. With three kids (one of them a baby) I never gave it a 2nd thought about it being "far" to walk back there. Guess I'd rather be further from the noise of the street and people constantly walking by.

There are toaster waffles but no pancakes. The free breakfast has more choices than the average "continental" breakfasts at most places. Gotta love free food!

One other note - there are no elevators.

We loved the short walk to the DL entrance - can't beat RIGHT across the street!

I'd stay there again when we're planning an economy trip. :)

Thanks everyone for your opinions. Got2Travel....I read about what happened to you on another thread. I'm sorry you went through that.

Maybe a room towards the back wouldn't be so bad. Desert Inn just seemed spooky late late at night. I think it was the whole elevator "hole" that ANYONE could have been lurking in.

Oh and MommyLove...you're just up the road from us. :) Hi neighbor:wave2:

We stayed there in 2007 and had 2 of the back rooms. It really isn't that long of a walk to get to the back. Maybe an extra 1 minute.

You're going to LOVE the short walk to the park. We would stop at the free continental breakfast room (it's upstairs) on our way to the park in the morning. We would eat our donuts & drink our coffee while walking to the park.

Yes, it's not a 4 star hotel, but we liked it. It's not as bad as everyone says it is. I would compare it to a typical Holiday Inn. The only thing we didn't like was the small pool. We were there in the summer and the shallow end got quite full with all of the kids. But, when we were staying at POR at WDW in the Fall, we noticed the same thing there with their huge pool.

Oh, and don't even bother eating at the IHOP next door. We paid around $95 for a meal for 7 of us, and it was AWFUL. Nothing like the IHOP at home. The pancakes were hard as a rock and I was banging them against the plate. We had better (and cheaper) meals at the parks. Our favorite was the Bengal BBQ in Adventureland.

LOL. Guess I've been a bit vocal about my lack of customer service from Park Vue. If they would have just honored my cancellation and refunded my money I probably would have given them another chance. Customer Service goes a long way in my book.

I also had to laugh about the IHOP comment. I know it's a bit pricier than most IHOPs but its comparable to the ones in my area. Then again, I live near San Francisco, so everything is high here. Anyway, the Anaheim IHOP is the only one I'll eat at. The ones around here are horrible.
