But if the sizes are getting - um, is it bigger or smaller? - what happens to the people at the lower end of the scale? My daughter, who is very slender, wears a 0 or occasionally a 2. If the current 0 is what used to be a 14, according to a previous poster, what are the people who would have been a 12, 10, 8, etc. in 1937 wearing? Do we have clothes in negative numbers now? How skinny were these people (because believe me, my size 0 daughter has no fat on her!)?
I don't really care about the number, I just wish there was more consistency. I really tend to shop at one store almost all the time mostly because I know what size I wear there!

I've seen 000 size 23 (?) By the time she grows up she'll be a negative -8 with the way things are going.
