If you're not shy... what size pants are you and how much do you weigh?

while trying to get my #S in order (chlestrol, blood sugar etc)

dr thought if Id lose weight Id get my #S in line which it helped for the most part

I started out in 6-2009 weighing 197!!!!! size 14 P jean:scared1:

I gradually noticed that the 14s were to big so without trying them on I just took a size 12P

was I surprised that they were too big!!!!:confused3:banana:

so I exchanged them for a 10P--
not much after that they were too big so

I am now in a size 8P!!!!!

I lost 52 pounds in alittle over 2 years and have gained alittle back but still Ive been able for the most part keeping it off

I feel like weight distribution plays a bigger part than people understand I have been up and down on my weight all my life and I can be 200 lb and ppl guess I'm 170 or be 175 and look 150 ish then when I was 155 (about a month ago) everyone swore I was on dope (truth is sometimes multiple autoimmune disease just suck the life out of you) mind you I am 5'4
and all my life if I put weight on out of 10 lb 7 of it goes to my thighs and butt 2 in my boobs then the remaining in what's left...so I have always been a weird one that can be 165 and still in a 3-5 jeans (depending on the brand)... nobody ever believes it till they see it 😒🙄

5’4”, 147, size 8 or a size 10 if not a better/Designer brand. Still working on it… baking cookies did not help, lol.

Welcome to the DIS, @Ruthless 11 .

I’m 5’7” and weigh about 130ish. I generally wear size 6 in “regular,” not vanity size. Some size 4 brands fit, while in others I need an 8.

I’m heartbroken that Lord & Taylor went out of business. I bought many of my nicer clothes there. They had a great selection and the sizing was relatively uniform among the labels they sold. They had an excellent house label.

I had this photo saved for a few months waiting for the right opportunity to post it. Here seems appropriate.

Would any store dare sell something like this these days??? Korvettes went out of business around 1981.

I remember as a girl, the larger sizes were marketed as “Chubbies.” Yeah, great for their self-esteem. :sad2:

:goodvibes Fat boys were “Husky”. Is that kinder, or less kind?

I myself can’t hide from the fact that post-menopausal, I’m a husky chubbette. :o I’m pretty consistently in a 10 petite (155 lbs.) but I can wear an 8 regular although they’re 6” too long. They must be cutting sizes way bigger now. Every time my doctor uses the word “obese” and gives me the look, inside I’m thinking :confused3“how is that possible when I only wear an 8?”

I'm 5'6" and weigh about 185lbs; I had gastric sleeve surgery 5 years ago and lost 110 pounds. However, I have always carried most of my weight around my belly, and still do, as well as most of my "leftover" skin. I still need to buy an 18-20 in pants, which makes me so sad. They fit my middle but are baggy baggy baggy through the thighs and legs; not a very becoming look.

I prefer a 28x30 or 29x30 but sometimes have to settle for a 30x30 if that is as low as they go.

5'6" and 138.

I weigh 120 and wear size 4.....and then I wake up.

In life, my leg wears a size 4, right leg size 4....you can do the math , don't forget belly, butt, right knee, left knee, right ankle............

Yeah, I remember Boys plus sizes as Husky, but I doubt they cared as much as girls being called Chubby.

Men’s suits were Portly. I don’t remember what Womens plus size was called, if anything other than “Women’s” or “Half Sizes.”

I used to wear a size 20 when I weighted 225. Over the last 2 years I got down to 162 and my jeans are a 16. I do have some capris from the summer that are size 10 though.

Now over the last 2 months I have gone up 15 lbs and I’m trying to stop the train as you will but I’m not doing a great job but still fit my 16 . I think it has to do with the stretch in the jeans now. The Christmas candy and cookies are killing me. I know I should throw them out to stop eating them.

Same size here. 5’7” and weight fluctuates between 125-135 lbs. I typically wear size a 6; sometimes a 4 depending on brand.
