If your room is ready, how early can a CM let you in your room?

I had this happen to us years ago... we drove straight through and did better on time than we expected and ended up arriving at 3am, instead of noon. It technically was our check in date, but still the middle of the night... but we thought we'd ask if they could do anything for us... The CM said our assigned room was unoccupied and ready (not always the case), and as a courtesy she let us in without requiring another night's fee. The CM did mention that there was a specific time where this could be done normally though. Does anyone know what time this is? I seem to remember 5am?

I can't speak to it being quite that early, but I know that almost every time we're stayed on property, even though the check in time is 3 or 4 pm, we always get in earlier than that. I'm interested in the answer for timing too though, I hope someone knows!

I've heard that the resort's computers turn over at 6:00am. If there was an empty room from the night before, they could give it to you.
