If you were to ask the kids

If you were to ask your young children what would they say was the best place to dine and why?

I just asked and they said Chef Mickey's because it is fun! :woohoo: They give two thumbs up to the dessert bar too! :thumbsup2

Both boys (10 & 7) both voted:

1. Whispering Canyon

2. Rainforest Cafe

I asked my niece and nephew (ages 4 and 7) this question. They both said California Grill. They liked being able to watch the Magic Kingdom at night with all the lights from the table, watching Wishes on the roof deck, and the HUGE fruit platter the waiter brought them for dessert (my nephew has an egg allergy which made all the desserts on the menu off limits to him).

DD9 loved Sci-fi, good choice for the kids. Her other favs, Whispering Canyon, she loved the skillet dinner, our server was a lot of fun (we asked for a doggie bag to take our desserts in and he brought us a bag that he had drawn a big loppy-earred doggy on. It was even wearing a bandana around the neck :rotfl: )and they had the pony races. She loved it when someone asked for ketchup! Her other favoriye was Ohana. She thought the food was awesome, she loves steak and took as much as she could eat and they had the coconut races. :thumbsup2

My kids love Sci-Fi(they love the glowing ice cubes!), Rainforest Cafe, and Crystal Palace. Suprisingly, they didn't really care for Cindy's breakfast, though I did!

My boys, 3 and 8, would definitely say Whispering Canyon Cafe. They had a blast there. DS, 3, also like Crystal Palace and DS, 8, enjoyed Sci Fi. :)

My kids' (girls) favorites in order of preference are:

Crystal Palace (food and characters)
Chef Mickey's (food and characters)
Sci-Fi (atmosphere)
50's Primetime (food and atmosphere)
Whispering Canyon (atmosphere)

They used to love CRT and PSB but are sick of them both. :confused3

My kids would say hoop de doo for sure! My 12yo loved the salad and my 3yo loved the chicken. They both looooved the show.

I know my kid is the weird one here---DD5 loves loves loves Portobello Yacht Club. But, then again, she is a pasta fanatic and the kids fett alfredo with chicken she eats up like nothing I've ever seen---and the decorate a cookie dessert with icing and paint brushes. If you do take kids there though, ask for a table outside so you get a good view of the water and ducks.

She also has a thing for sci-fi drive in. I'm not a huge fan, but every now and then I indulge her. We did her 5th birthday party (think 7 squealing 5 year old girls) at CRT for lunch and they're still talking about it --- pretty impressive with girls that visit Disney at least 2 times a month.

My son was 3.5 when we went last so I'm sure he doesn't remember a lot of the places we ate. However, he keeps asking if we "are going to eat in the cars" when we go in November. I'm guessing he's talking about Sci-Fi. He really loved it -- the atmosphere and the food. He also had a great time at Chef Mickey's. My dd was only 1 so I didn't even ask her.

Chef Mickey's, hands down.

My kids like Rainforest Cafe, too.

Hoop Dee Doo is by far my dd's favorite - they'd go again this year, but I think 2 years in a row is enough for now :teeth:

My DD(10) says the counter service outside Tower of Terror (forget what it is called)!! When i asked why she said it was because they served it in a "mickey" shaped dish and you get grapes with it :confused3

My :earsboy: "Mickey" (DS 6) says the Polynesian. First, Ohana (eaten there 2 times) for the fun (hula hoops & coconut races) & second, Kona Cafe (eaten there 1 time) for the dessert (BIG Mickey cone with toppings including cotton candy).

My :earsgirl: "Minnie" (DD 4) says "the place where they say Ketchup!" (Whispering Canyon). She thinks it is a hoot.

My kids don't have a problem finding anything to eat at any restaurant. The kids menus really cater to what they like at all restaurants. Those are their favorites for atmosphere. But really, we've eaten at so many places & they've never complained. They ask to go back to many of the places we've eaten (Coral Reef, Chef Mickey's, San Angel Inn...)

My daughters' favorites are (and they have quite a few!!):

50's Prime Time (They LOVE when the waiters give people a hard time!)
Sci-Fi Drive-In
"Cinderella's Castle" (the picture in my siggie!)

But, these are following closely by Whispering Canyon (again for the hard time and fun) and Liberty Tree Tavern (the only character one they're still willing to do!!)

My girls love to eat at Disney almost as much as riding the rides!!!

Just asked mine and they said chef mickey's, planet hollywood( but too loud), 1900 park fare, le cellier. they are 12
