I was just in this situation last week. Our vacation rental was just off Cerritos, West of the Park. We drove every day and parked in M&F because we had three children in our party (5, 6, & 8) and my 62 y/o mother, who are fine walking when there are interesting things to look at, but not that motivated when just walking empty streets. We only had problems one evening when M&F filled and we were diverted to Toy Story. This caused an hour delay in getting back into the Park. On that night, my brother experimented with Lyft. His ride (with surge pricing) from the Harbor-side passenger dropoff was $4. Compare this to the $18 parking fee. It might be worth considering a ride-sharing service like Lyft or Uber instead of driving.
