If you were given $400 to spend...

I would buy one of those Bose Wave radios. It's like a really expensive alarm clock.

One word - Chocolate! :woohoo:

I would buy a lot of the best chocolate truffles I have ever found - the ones at The Chocolate Garden.

And if I had any $$ left after that, a nice dinner out and a good bottle of wine.

I could get myself to Disney on that... Paris that is...

Otherwise, a foot tall munny figure that would take me about 2 weeks to paint.

I would buy the Disney Photo Pass CD, take my dd 10 yr old to tea at GF, and let my college grad get a massage and the works when we come in May!

Definitely splurges!

CBR May 22-27th for dd college graduation!

:yay::yay::yay:

Two I-Phones. One for me and one for my husband.

Looks like three people made suggestions before I could, and I would do any of these!

Dinner at V&As :thumbsup2

Since I'm solo, I'd have enough to splurge for that new Queen Victoria room, with wine pairings!

a day at the SPA!! Massage, the works.

Another awesome choice. I would get a massage and facial. Spaaaaaaah. :cloud9:

2 Disney Dooney & Bourke handbags. :teeth:

You had a flash of brilliance, doll! I could either get one of each design, or mix it up a bit and go with the wristlets and whichever of the larger bags doesn't go over that dollar limit!

If I had to spend it here, I don't know what I'd spend it on.

I would get an iPhone....and another iPod touch (and give my DD my one month old iPod touch):cool1:

Airline tickets for my October trip. If that is too un-foolish $100 would go towards a RoKu player and the other $300 for a netbook.

I would spend $200 on a new bow for my bass, then put the rest into a new iPod touch since some ^$%#*$*&$ stole mine at school. It made me angry. -Or-
I would pay for a vacation for me to an amusement park (sadly disney is too expensive with air fare otherwise).
-Or-
A new bed, mine has springs poking out and has stabbed me.
-Or-
Some random musical instrument, just because I enjoy learning random musical instruments.
:goodvibes

Cloths duh.

You know, I actually have a large collection of kitchen towel and washcloths. I'm like a lunatic with them. I always say I'm going to stop the madness, but then I see one at Walmart or Kohls and it's so cute and only $6 or whatever and I get it.

Also always looking for the perfect ones, even if they aren't cute. Got a set at Williams Sonoma that I'm still hanging my head in shame over for having forked out that much dough for something so silly.

I now pack them away in boxes to rotate.

I'm kind of teased by family for this.

I do throw them out if they get too faded or the stuff has flaked off...except the one from my best friend about friends. It has sentimental value.

Not a bad idea!!!

LOL. Did no one else catch the humor in this exchange? Nicely done Kaligal.

I would hire someone to clean my house while I went for a mani/ pedi and a quick shopping trip

I wish I were kidding, lol. I also have a freaky wrapping paper collection. They are two things that I know I do not need and yet cannot stop myself from buying. The wrapping paper is in those long rubbermaid containers. The Christmas wrapping paper is so out of hand that I got a container designed to hold TREES in which to store it. And that wasn't enough. :faint:

I'm not a hoarder, I just can't stop with those two things.

I also have a pin collection, but that makes more sense (is less insane). I decided to PM that poster.

I would put it towards my project of re-purchasing all the toys from my childhood.

I was a huge fan of Star Wars, GI Joe, He-Man and Transformers and right now I'm in the process of scourerig the interwebs to buy back all the toys my parents threw away. I'm thinking 400 bucks woulbe a great start to get this moving along faster as most of the peices I've found on EBay are crazy expensive!

I have so much I would love to buy, but many of the things would qualify borderline as practical. For instance, I have no furniture in my apt. So I'd love to get a couch and a chair, but that's practical.

Since I'm local, I can EASILY justify spending money at Disney LOL. usually when I have extra money I'll go to a club with my friends(RIP PI) and buy them drinks. Since it has to be spent on me, I would DATW with about 100 of it and use the other 300 for a day at the spa, primarily massages.

I changed my mind i would buy a sewing machine that works!
