If you were given $400 to spend...

As a collector of all things Beatles, I would give to have that kind of money because I'd spend it on merchandise regarding them....

But if I wanted to be smart I'd make a car payment with that kind of cash... ;) But that's no fun!!

not to sound, well, odd about it, but 400.00 would not register on the foolish scale. that gets pissed away on a regular basis.:sad2: not proud of that.

Well, yeah... Like the $400 I just spent as a sports fee so my twin boys could play on the school tennis team. :confused3 Or $600 plus I'm going to spend buying them driving lessons! (I just signed them up so I'm in shock in more ways than one!) But I wouldn't normally take that money and buy a night at the GCH.

There is no reason for shame.

So, like what? What have you recently done/bought for yourself that was not at all necessary or practical and did not include anyone else?

No, that's money you're spending on someone else. That's for the kids. You can't spend this $400 that way.

You can't spend it on anyone else AND you can't spend it in a practical way, including vacation funds, which (unless you live nearby) includes Disney.

It has to be spent (not saved, or put toward something else) and it can't be something you need, just something you'd like...like netbooks and video games - if they're for you and just you. Not video games you'd play with the kids. That's counting the kids.

The challenge is to do a little something - or a few little somethings JUST FOR YOURSELF.

What foolish thing will you do or buy?

Amazing how several hundered here and there gets tossed around, but you are right, I wouldn't just spend it on myself. That's why staying onsite at DLR would be a big splurge for me. :lovestruc I'd say a laptop, but then I'd need more than $400. Anyone else want to give me their $400? :lmao:

Get a new tattoo of course!!! Either The Kings chess peace I want or start my sleeve!!

It would be a new camera lens....or GPS.

I don't consider a vacation to be a "practical" expense - and my husband surely thinks my WDW trips are pretty foolish! :lmao: $400 would pay for several nice excursions on an upcoming cruise. It would also pay for 4 nights at WDW in mid-December after a cruise ends.

I'd buy another 1911 .45 Colt. Old school military spec, no frills killing machine. It's the simple things in life that bring the most pleasure! :thumbsup2

ahhhhh.....ex military..........are you now a corrections officer?:)

Definitely an iPhone - my current cell phone still works fine and I can't justify a replacement but I want all the bells and whistles!

I just did that this week and I already HAVE and iPhone, but I just HAD to have a bigger one and 3Gs.

I would add $100 to it and buy the new suitcase I saw today. Yes, $500 for a suitcase. While it sounds like a practical item, it's foolish because I already have a Briggs and Riley that I love and has a lifetime guarantee. But, I really love this new style.

Just keep telling myself, I don't need it, I don't need it.
