If you were a CM...

Disappointed that no one has mentioned Parade Audience Control for best / worst yet. Actually is a great job.

Best: Engineer on one of the Steam Trains

Worst: Any position that is in the back ground and has very little or no "Disney feel" to it.

Best: imangineer in charge of attraction concepts

Worst: working on the speedway on tomorrowland. The heat combined with the asphalt, the exhaust from the cars and kid bumping the cars in front of them even though you tell them not to. It just seems like it would be a miserable experience.

Best job: Friendship cruise driver or monorail driver
Worst job: working in the kitchen at a counter service restaurant

Best: Attractions, especially something in Fantasyland, like Peter Pan!

Worst: Janitorial staff. I just couldn't handle cleaning up throw-up or nasty messes :faint:

What a great thread!

Best: Working with the large draft horses and white ponies that pull the trolleys and carriages. I just love the barn at Fort Wilderness and have worked with animals all my life.

Worst: Any mousekeeping. I hate to make my own bed every morning so the thought of having to make a hallway of beds every morning would cause a nervous break down. Somehow looking down an aisle way of stalls to clean never has the same effect on me. I really appreciate what they do every day so I always tip well.

I love these responses!

Walking backwards on the HM treadmill, agh! You'd have rock hard calves in a matter of months lol.

How about the snake/crocodile wranglers who remove critters from parks and resorts? Eeeee!

Jungle Cruise would be amazing. A server at 50's Primetime would be fun too :)

Best: Fairy Godmother at BBB

Worst: Cast Members who check for and have to tell guests to leave if they don't have a wristband for MVMCP or MNSSHP...they looked overwhelmed the last time I was there...

great thread!!!!!

I always wanted to drive the monorail when I was a kid. I also wanted to work in mission to mars in the mk.
I have since changed my mind and I would love to work after hours in the parks. anything outside or servicing attractions.

I have learned I am not one of those special people who can be a cm. :lmao:
I see a lot of people don't want to be in a complaint department.... you pin a name tag on........ you are now in the complaint department. :lmao:

I have a new respect for each and every cm. they are a special group of people. :thumbsup2

Best: One of the Mainstreet Greeters that is also a dancer at the Rope Ceremony each morning! I would love to sing and dance the morning in. :D

Worst: A CM that deals with FP+ issues in any park, but especially the Magic Kingdom

Utilidoors Maintenance. Possibly IT, so long as I get to stay underground all day.

Yeah, I know, I'm weird.

Best. Conceirge. Or the person in charge of the Cinderella Suite.

Worst. Custodial services

Best: If money is a consideration, probably being a server at one of the popular restaurants, especially a signature. Just based off what I'd like to do, hosting some of the tours, especially anything with a science background like Behind the Seeds.

Worst: Counter Service Kitchen! I manage a quick service restaurant and know how crazy it gets at lunchtime, I can only imagine it being that busy all day! Also, anything cleaning related, because I really appreciate how clean Disney is always kept but I wouldn't want to be the one who makes it that way!

Best: Attractions, especially something in Fantasyland, like Peter Pan! Worst: Janitorial staff. I just couldn't handle cleaning up throw-up or nasty messes :faint:
Sorry, this is probably too much information, but I used to be a janitor at an amusement park and we used to enjoy making the new guys sick by playing the "What did this kid eat today?" game over fresh throw-up and taking them to the trash compactor on a hot Summer day. :-)
You get used to the gross stuff; it doesn't bother you after a little while (or you quit).
Being on the janitorial staff is actually a fun job because you get to wander around quite a bit. Disney may be different, but we were allowed to change the area we cleaned.

Lol. I'm gagging just reading about it. Lol

Me-
Best: greeting guests at a hotel or park or working at the BBB
Worst: anything food service or cleaning related, I have 4 kids so I do plenty of both of these things

Husband-
Best: guest services in the park
Worst: custodian

Best: Cashier in the Christmas store or Customer Service
Worst: Food Service or Custodial
