If you were a CM...

Butler at The Haunted Mansion would be my favorite !!! Or maybe behind the scenes security/ loss prevention since I'm a police officer.
Anything dealing with food would be my bottom... People can be so difficult when it comes to food.

There is always a person like me:

Favorites:
-- Monorail Conductor. The 'boy' inside me still likes trains.
-- Working at Guest Services. I enjoy customer focused jobs.
-- Castle Lighting or Osborne Lights Imagineer. New Castle Lighting is nothing short of uniquely spectacular; Osborne Lights with added value that so much is from my hometown of NYC.
-- Jungle Cruise Boat Captain. It's to tell on DisBoards, but I can have a corny sense of humor.

.........The winner........Jungle Cruise Captain - transportation (like Monorail conductor), customer focused, inside the Parks, and marginally creative.

Worsts:
-- Selling sticky Dole Whips.
-- Working inside 'it's a small world'.
-- Ride Maintenance.

........The loser.......Ride Maintenance.......being sticky all day is not fun for me, I could not do the monotony of ride send-off and/or hearing 'it's a small world' in my ears all day, but I would not want the added pressure of having to fix a broken ride midday.

Best- Jungle Cruise Skipper. I'm an expert at telling horribly corny jokes, and at least I'll have one person laughing - that being me.

Worst- Working at Haunted Mansion. Love the ride, but I wouldn't be able to stay there for too long, it'd freak me out.

Best - Dive Quest scuba diver guide at Seas with Nemo and Friends - or if they just let me clean the tanks I'll take that toO!

Worst - Mousekeeping. (I do enough cleaning up after people at home! :rotfl:)

(PS - love this thread!)

A greeter at a resor would be my first choice

A ride attendant the worst. Except for haunted mansion.

I always think, what a workout that must be whenever we go to the haunted mansion and see the CM that walk on the giant treadmill BACKWARDS! I bet they all have great legs haha

Best would be anything related to event planning, making special moments even more special. Although i may need stock in tissues because i would cry at everyone.
Worst- Anything related to food! Unless i was making mega tips!

I will pick being Tinkerbell during Wishes. :tinker:

A greeter at a resor would be my first choice

I watched one of them get assigned a pretty bad job. While waiting for my women folk outside the restroom in the Contemporary Resort, I watched a greeter CM walk out in front of the platform leading up to the resort monorail, put out the sign saying it was closed for maintenance, and stand there in quiet resignation anticipating a day of telling angry guests they had to take the bus. :furious:

Everyone saying they wouldn't work in food or cleaning, I hope you're not the kind of people that make those jobs harder for the people that DO them ;)

Best: Jungle Cruise captain OR resort concierge at One of the Deluxe Resorts

Worst: any CM w/ an iPad dealing with FP+/MB issues

Not at all.. I have the up most respect for them. I have worked in a food service position before and it is not easy work for little pay. As far as cleaning goes i wouldnt mind that at all but its not my dream disney job. I actually just interviewed for a cleaning job with the state. Crossing my fingers that i get it. I think that working for the state in any capacity will benefit me in the long run as i get older.

What a fun thread! :thumbsup2

Best: Resort check-in - Really, I would LOVE to be in any position that would allow me to shower all of the super-sweet guests with major pixie dust every day!!! :cloud9:

Worst: Probably anything in food service. I am very kind to anyone who "serves" me, but I am very well-aware of how rude people can be. No thank you!

Best - I'd want to be a CM on one of the cruise ships. I'd LOVE to work in the bars on the ships. Although I probably make pretty horrible drinks, I make up for it with some fun conversation!

Worst - I'd hate to be a character handler. Too many people I'd have to turn away.

CY

Honestly, I'd want to be Mary poppins..... but since the OP said no characters.....

I'd totally want to be a Baker at the GF. I wanna make and build that gingerbread house!!!!

I'd probably detest doing something dealing with complaints. Especially with all of the changes right now. No thanks.

This is fun so I just asked my hubby....

He'd want to be a monorail driver and to never ever have to clean a single toilet.

Sell balloons on Main St! Just so I could be there to see all the excitement on everyone's faces as they see the castle!

Great! I hope you get it! Working for the state is GOLDEN :)

1) Would love to work at the American Pavilion at EPCOT, maybe be a CM manning the American Adventure.

2) Anything that combines food with interacting with guests. I wouldn't want to be in the kitchens or taking orders.

BTW, I don't think I'd mind custodial duty that much, esp. if it was walking around sweeping up.

Best: photographer in the rose garden! Helping people capture the their happiness in such a beautiful location would be awesome!

Worst: popcorn seller! I LOVE MK popcorn, and being that close to it all day would drive me crazy!!!

I actually think that knowing what I do, I try to make their jobs easier. Having worked in food service for years, I have the utmost respect for the patience it takes, and never give anyone a hard time, even when service is horrible. You'd have to spit in my food to get less than a 20% tip. I also leave my room as clean as I can ;)

I would love to work concierge at one of the deluxe resorts.

Least would be working any QS dining location.
