If You See It: Eat It! Via Panama to Disneyland - Completed and Link to New Trip Report 2/24

Just catching up...

Glad you made it over here, even if there are no dam stories to be found here!

Yes, that's what we felt like when we heard about the table...

Never been there, but I can already picture it in my mind.

hmmm, I wonder what that tells me about you...

Awesome tile work!:thumbsup2

Yes, it was very pretty with all those tiles.

Wow, that is weird. Like you said, I guess it's better than tearing it down.

Did you read the comment from ImDmous that they had a huge craft beer selection there? That makes it even weirder!

Hmm...I'm not sure I would do well on this tour. :rolleyes1

Cat allergy? Then I would not recommend visiting there...

This is serious! Next comes the fight over leaving the toilet seat up! :rotfl::rotfl2:

I am sorry to disappoint, but this was the only "fight" we had during the cruise (well besides when we found ONE current FP for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad on the ground in Disneyland and disagreed on the best use for that, but it was not a real fight in resulted in me finding the most delicious beverage in Disneyland).

That's SO much better than "ventriloquist". I'm using "tummy speaker" from now on! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Even if no one else knows what you are talking about. But I have to say that this is one thing I like about the German language, we have a lot of very descriptive terms.

I'm glad they were taking your concerns seriously.:thumbsup2

We were, too! :thumbsup2

Yes there were! I enjoyed the perks and she had all of the headaches :headache: so it was probably tougher for me when she gave it up than it was on her. Oh well.

:lmao:

I guess what I meant was I would hope the person who brought the table in to replace it would of at least wiggled it to make sure it didn't wobble. Then I am sure there is a simple solution like a felt pad on one of the legs to even it out.
I guess it bothers me when they come into fix something and either break something else or replace it with it an item that has something else wrong with it. :(

Oh, they did check. We still had our old table, they just told us that they tried to fix our problem. They were at that point looking into what was wrong with the floor (it is not supposed to be wobbly, it is steel) and were looking whether they could repair our floor!

Joining in for your TR!

I actually got on the ship a month after you for an Alaskan Cruise. I luckily got Sasha in Palo's who I adore. He is fabulous.

I too have always enjoyed Jimmy as a cruise director, but this time he went above and beyond for a family we had the chance to get to know through Facebook before our trip. The family had lost their husband/father about 2 months before the cruise in a drunk driving accident. We had the chance to talk to Jimmy one on one at the DVC members meeting and informed him to see if there was anything they could do for them. He did something nearly everyday for them. Special meet and greets and privileges to enter cast member areas. Amazing! He is absolutely amazing. There are no words for the amount of gratitude we have for him.

Welcome!! I am happy to hear that you had Sasha in Alaska and that he is still wonderful!

The story about Jimmy is so great to read. How sad to go on a cruise that you obliously had planned with a family member who then gets killed just before the big trip. And how nice of you to help with them getting a bit more pixie dust! I hope they were able to use the cruise to have some quality time together and were able to have some fun!

With the talk with the hotel director out of the way, we headed to Parrot Cay for the dinner where we were led to our new table 14! Just for the two of us! I think this was the point on the cruise when we started to really relax. We had our own table now and we felt confident that the room situation would get resolved.

We got a nice round table for the two of us and met our new servers. Our server was Renato who was very eager to please and very nice, but a bit more on the serious side which was fitting as he only was serving tables with adults. Our assistant server was Shervonne. When she came to introduce her I immediately recognised her: She had been our server this morning and we had had a nice chat with her about the view. She was really lovely, very cheerful and funny!

The menu today was Taste of the Caribbean:

DSC03005.jpg

Today’s bread selection were sunflower seed rolls:

DSC02999.jpg

Michael started out with the Pulled Jerk Pork and Mango Chutney Tart served with Baby Greens and a Pomegranate-Balsamic dressing. At least that was the description in the menu. What he got looked like this:

DSC03000.jpg

More a pulled pork pizza. And it was huge!

I had the Sweet Potato Quiche Grand Cayman Style – Sweet Potatoes, Plantains, and Piquillos Peppers with Tomato-Cilantro Salsa.

DSC03001.jpg

This was delicious! And about 1/6 of the size of Michaels appetizer.

We then both went on to get theTossed Field Greens “Dominique” Banana Bread Croutons and Red Wine Shallots sprinkled with Goat Cheese:

DSC03002.jpg

I don’t remember any croutons, but I don’t think I asked about them. And I can’t see them on the picture. Somehow this was a trend during the whole cruise that the descriptions sounded fancier than the dishes then turned out to be. Little things were missing etc. I am not sure whether this was due to the length of the cruise and hence the difference in stocks? It was one of the minor disappointments though.

For his main course Michael got the Anguilan Chicken Sausages over sweet Cheese Grits, flavoured Zucchini and a Lime-Garlic Drizzle:

DSC03003.jpg

This was another huge portion. The dish was quite deep and there was plenty of the grits. Which was very tasty, but just too much. I think this was one of the very few occasions when Michael did not finish his meal.

I had the steak this night: Hand Cut Caramelized Delmonico Rib Steak, Broccoli Florets with Coconut Butter, Sweet Potato and Dark Molasses Glaze:

DSC03004.jpg

This was really good! I am not a huge fan of rib eye steak as I don’t like the “eye”. I knew that when I ordered it, so I just left over the pieces that I did not like. But the rest of the meat was good, the sides were very good, too!

Michael got the Creole Sandae – Fresh Pineapple and Bananas marinated in Orange Juice with Coconut Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce:

DSC03008.jpg

One thing I did not like about the dessert sundaes (they had one on offer every evening) is that the nice stuff is always at the bottom of the glass and then there is a scoop of ice cream on top. This might make it easier to prepare, but when you eat it, it is really difficult to get it all mixed up.

I had the Caramelized Upside Down Pudding served warm with Roasted Pineapple and Rum Sauce:

DSC03009.jpg

This was ok, but I would have liked more pineapple to go with it, it was a bit dry.

During dinner I had tried to find our old table in order to let our former table mates know that we did not leave them behind because we thought they were horrible, but because we wanted to spend time just as a couple. However, I could not make them out and I did not want to go and wander through the whole dining room to find them. Luckily I spotted them the next day and we chatted with them and they were rather pleased that we made the effort to let them know what had happened to us.

After dinner I convinced Michael to get in line for a picture with Pluto and Mickey. They were on the side of the atrium where there is the walkway toward the Promenade Lounge. While we were standing in line an elder couple (I would say at least mid 60s) walked passed us and they were talking about us and then with us. It turned out that they were on the table next to ours and it seemed that Michael had seen them during dinner, too. I was sitting with my back to them, so they were strangers to me. We chatted with them a little bit and they were really nice. They were both from Orlando and they told us the whole story about how they met a few years ago etc.

After our character meeting we went to the shops. They were practically empty at that time of the day and that was really nice to finally have a real thorough look around through the merchandise. And then we ended the day with our one mile walk on deck 4 before I headed to bed and Michael watched some Disney cartoons on our stateroom TV. Luckily I remembered the alarm incidence from the previous night and tried to switch off the alarm which after a long fight and using some not so appropriate language (in German) I was able to do. These alarm clocks are really difficult to get to do what you want them to do. There is a small instruction sheet on them, but ours did not work the way it should… After the cruise we got a survey by email about all kind of topics and one topic was alarm clocks. I made sure that we answered all those questions with the worst choice possible. If they provide an alarm clock, they need to provide some that actually works and you don’t have to hit a button 5 times until it does what you want it to do.

Up Next: Cruise Director’s Morning Show

Isn't Shervonne the best!!!! We had her as our assistant server on the May 2-night cruise and immediately loved her. We requested her for our August 11th Alaska cruise but there was a mix-up and we didn't get seated with her. Luckily the Head Server worked some magic and moved her to our table (he joked that he was going to keep her so I guess he stole her away from a different head server, LOL). Just shows the lengths that DCL will go to, to please their guests :thumbsup2 I made sure to let the Head Server know how much we appreciated that.

She is a server now (we had Orlando as our assistant server).

The pulled pork flatbread was delicious, but I was surprised by the size, too. Looks like the alarm clock was a real pain. Fortunately we never had any reason to go near ours. We did not get any unwanted wake up calls and when we did need to wake up at a certain time, then Mickey did the honours.

Luckily I remembered the alarm incidence from the previous night and tried to switch off the alarm which after a long fight and using some not so appropriate language (in German) I was able to do.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Oh My I really laughed so hard over the inappropriate language ( In German).

Not sure why it but it really made me laugh for quite a bit, maybe because I know that frustration and can create a visual ( and audio, even though I know no inappropriate German words) and probably can imagine myself having that same fight. :rotfl2:

Glad you finally got a table to yourselves.

Most of your food looked good, with the exception of that pork/mango/pizza thing that Michael got. Not so sure about that one!

I work with some people from other countries and it's always fun to hear them use choice words in their native tongue! :rotfl2:

]For a rather short Magdalene update, I found a lot to like in this one! :thumbsup2

So glad you were able to get the table issue resolved. :goodvibes You have to admit on Michael's pizza, those are some serious "baby" greens! :rotfl2: Banana bread croutons sound so yummy..... hate you aren't able to tell me about them. :( Your steak and the desserts look and sound so yummy!

I really cracked up over the alarm clock story! :lmao: Knowing you like i do, I can just hear that happening, but then, maybe it is because of. ................

Not sure why it but it really made me laugh for quite a bit, maybe because I know that frustration and can create a visual ( and audio, even though I know no inappropriate German words) and probably can imagine myself having that same fight. :rotfl2:
::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: Are you SURE you don't know some inappropriate German words? ?? :confused3 :scratchin

I'm enjoying all the updates, Magdalene! :cool2: I'm glad that you were able to get your room issues addressed. And that alarm clock thing. :badpc:

Looking forward to the next installment! :flower3:

Ah, the fight with the alarm clock! I usually call Tom to do it AFTER the choice words in "Austrian"! :rotfl2:

It's funny that you should say that things didn't fit the description. We found the quality of food on our cruise not to be up to scratch. Oh, well!

I am glad that you were able to let your tablemates know you didn't desert them. And I still find it funny that you didn't get your table for two in the first place. :confused3

Before we start with the regular update, I wanted to comment on something with regard to our table for two request. I think there were special circumstances on this cruise. Since it was mainly adults, they had far more groups of two people than on a usual cruise. Also, since there were less people on board, they actually had only two dining rooms open for the second seating. One of the three rotations only was doing main dining. With this our dining room was packed! I think that's why there were just not so many tables for two available in general. Also, we had requested two things: Our head server Josip whom we really liked on our last cruise and the table for two. So we got one out of the two requests we had and ended up with getting both.

But now, on with our first sea day!

Day 7, May 4

Day at Sea
Dress Code: Formal
Dinner Menu: Golden Mickeys
Show Golden Mickeys
Weather: Partly Sunny, 78°F/26°C

Today was the first sea day of many on this cruise. If you count the day when we transited through the Panama Canal as a sea day (which it technical was as we never got on land that day, just very very close to land), then this cruise had 9 days at sea in total! That was one of the reasons I was looking forward to my cruise as I had truly enjoyed the sea days on the 5-night cruise last year. But in the back of my mind there was also the fear that 9 sea days might be too much of a good thing.

But now at the beginning I was just looking forward to a relaxed day! I woke up well rested, slept much better than the night before. I guess the vacation started to help me relax. I woke up without any alarm at about a quarter to 8 and got up (trying to move as quietly as possible to not wake persons who were still asleep). I had big plans for that day!!

But first I needed some breakfast and headed up to BBB (Beach Blanket Buffet) for a small breakfast.

I tried the oatmeal for the first time since somehow oatmeal has become rather popular in Germany during the last two years and I had a few mixes this winter which I rather liked. I found some strawberry compote and that was very good with the oat meal.

DSC03014.jpg

DSC03013.jpg

BBB has some lovely outdoor seating all the way in the back of the ship. I loved sitting out there eating breakfast.

For future reference I took a picture of the offerings at Goofy’s Galley for breakfast.

DSC03016.jpg

They had pastries, cereal, fruit and something which I had heard about a lot here on the DIS: The breakfast smoothies, one mango and one strawberry. However, they did not really appeal to me, so I did not get one. Instead I went and got a hot tea from the drink station.

With my drink I had the first event of the day to go to: The Cruise Director’s Morning Show!

I had read comments about this on the DIS when people talked about previous Panama Canal cruises and for whatever reasons I just found it so intriguing. It was more or less a morning TV show produced just for the ship. You could go and watch it being filmed in Studio Sea, but it was also being broadcast live on one of the ship’s TV channels, so you could watch it while getting ready in the morning. The Morning Show is a feature on the Panama Canal cruises, but Ashley, our Assistant Cruise Director told me that they have started to have it on the Transatlantic cruises as well now. It was only happening on the sea days.

Since there was someone sleeping in my cabin who would not have appreciated if I had switched on the TV in the cabin, I had to go to Studio Sea. I was surprised that there were only a handful of people. I found a table close to the action and settled in with my tea:

DSC03018.jpg

There were screens showing the show’s logo:

DSC03019.jpg

And then Jimmy and Ashley welcomed us to the Morning Show. And we 7 people were able to cheer like a full theatre!! The wonders of modern technology!!

Here are Jimmy and Ashley chatting:

DSC03021.jpg

The show was about half an hour and it was just like typical breakfast TV. Two hosts chatting about the upcoming events of the day and some other stories relating to our cruise. I thought it was great fun! I also got to know quite a few things, especially with regard to which events to look out for.

Jimmy also had this rivalry thing going on with Captain Fabian – not very smart, if you ask me, considering that the Captain is the boss of the whole ship! Jimmy ended up being fired several times during the cruise…

There were some days that I missed the show, but after its initial run it kept being repeated during the day on the same channel over and over again. So, I often would put it on the TV in our stateroom when I was in there during the day to catch up with what I had missed.

They even had a telephone and anyone could call in from their staterooms. There was some fun happening with the telephone in a later show, but you will have to wait for that story!

After the morning show I had the next event. The DVC Member Celebration. This is an event to which all DVC members are invited. It is usually some presentation about how wonderful DVC is and they mention that you can buy more points from them while on the cruise. It is not an overly pushy sales presentation however. I had enjoyed it on my last cruise when it was about 30 people in Diversions, which is the sports bar in the adult bar district. This time it was being held in Wavebands which is the large club in the adult area where they have the nightly adult shows. Much much larger venue. About 10 times as many people I would guess!

The morning show was at 8:30 am and the DVC event started at 9 am. Luckily they were not far apart so I quickly walked from one venue to the next. I was lucky to still find a little table for myself, got settled in with a pastry, a coffee and then happily took one glass of mimosa from the server walking around. Every party got a drawstring bag and – most importantly – a card to fill out with your name as at the end there would be a drawing for an onboard credit (i.e. money you can spend on anything on the ship). I am not sure about the amount right now, but it was a nice sum (ok, this most likely tells you that I was not the lucky winner of the onboard credit).

Here is a picture of the crowd settling in:

DSC03023.jpg

There were more people to my left and behind me, I am kind of sitting in the middle of the room.

Last year the event had been more like a chat between friends, this time it was far more structured. It was set up like a game show and one of the DVC guides (that’s what the DVC salespersons are being called) was the show host. Here you can see the panel:

DSC03026.jpg

The panel was the person who had been an owner for the longest (it was someone who purchased while the first property was still being constructed) and then the newest owner and I think then they pulled one name out of the box for the raffle at the end. I am thinking there might have been a fourth panellist, but I don’t know how he was selected… Then they showed little clips about Disney and DVC and at the end they would ask a question related to the little video. And then it got complicated. They then pulled another name out of the raffle box. This person would then have to choose a panellist to answer the question. The first person to be pulled out was someone from New Zealand. Wow! I thought I was an exotic DVC owner!! And then suddenly my name was pulled out! I got to pick a panalist and for doing that I got a nice DVC gift of a reusable cup! Which would have been fantastic if I had not brought my own one. It is still a really nice cup that I used a few times this summer having happy memories of the cruise. In the end all the panellists were able to answer their questions correctly and got some nice prices, too.

Somehow they kept coming around with the mimosas during the whole show and I ended up having three! Yes, I was very happy after that event and not only because I had won something.

Afterwards I managed to get Michael out of bed to come and explore with me. I think we even watched a little bit of the rerun of the Cruise Director’s Morning show as I wanted to show Michael what I had done in the morning. I also took a picture of how far we already had travelled:

DSC03029.jpg

And of our door:

DSC03034.jpg

The first thing I wanted to do was to exchange a Panama Canal cruise t-shirt that I had bought the day before and gotten a size too small. Unfortunately that design was not available in my size anymore, so I had to settle for the other design. Which I liked better, but it was on a white t-shirt and I would preferred the light blue one. They had so many of the shirts in the beginning that I was not worried for them to sell out so quickly and it really was only my size that was gone by the third day in the cruise.

After that we ran into Ashley (assistant cruise director) in the atrium and chatted with her for a little bit. She had mentioned on the morning show how she came to work with Disney. She was working in Alaska and was so cold all the time that she decided to apply for a job on a cruise ship. So we talked a little about Alaska and how she enjoys going back there now with the Wonder. She was really lovely! We talked about how international the crew is and I said that I was still looking for a cast member from Germany. She said that there was one at the Port Adventures Desk, called Lisa.

There was a princess gathering going on while we chatted with Ashley, so I took some pictures of all the princesses:

DSC03032.jpg

DSC03033.jpg

Those are really effective, you only stand in line once and then you are moved from one princess to the next. But they attract quite a long line.

Nxt we headed to the Port Adventures Desk to see if Lisa was working there. And there she was. She was really surprised to meet someone from Germany who was seeking her out as “THE” German cast member. We chatted with her a little. She was from Hamburg and had been working on the Wonder for 3 years now.

Walking through the ship we came across Peter Pan and he was nice enough to pose for a picture with me:

DSC03035.jpg

Our next stop was to get something to drink and then we just sat in the Outlook Café and enjoyed being back in our favourite place from the last cruise. After a while we were wondering what we should do for lunch as we had another appointment at 2 pm that involved more drinking. We decided a nice sit down lunch at Triton’s would be perfect as a base for that.

I was a bit concerned about timing, but once we were seated and talked to our server Jose, he assured us that he would be able to serve us a 3 course meal in under 30 minutes. Jose had been our server our first night and he was really nice, too. He did impress us that day as he managed to time everything perfectly and we were done eating in 25 minutes without feeling rushed. But as soon as we had both finished our plates, he was there to exchange them for the next course.

On the last cruise we had had one lunch in Triton’s and the day before we had seen that they had the menu out that we had had for our lunch last time. I somehow expected it to be the ONE lunch menu. Especially since it is also the only menu posted on the unofficial Disney Cruise Line Blog. But I was so wrong! They had a different menu every single day!! In general I often liked the offerings on the lunch menus much more than on the dinner menus.

Since those cannot be found anywhere, I am going to post the lunch menus here.

The front:

DSC03037.jpg

And then the more interesting part:

DSC03036.jpg

I think we both had the asparagus as a starter: Buttered Green Asparagus with a Tomato Bernaise

DSC03038.jpg

While this was good, it was more served with salsa than anything I would call a Bernaise sauce.

I then had the Chilled Strawberry Soup:

DSC03042.jpg

This was nice, but the cream was something strange. There was generally a lack of real whipped cream (or even from a can), instead it was this stuff that was very sweet and kind of thick. I do have the suspicion that this was the stuff that fascinated me so much last year when I visited the supermarket: Cool Whip.

And Michael had a salad: Roquette Salad with Roasted Roma Tomatoes and Shaved Parmesan

DSC03044.jpg

For his main course Michael had the Tamarind-Glazed Beef Kebabs skewered with Peppers, Mushrooms and Onions served on Cracked Wheat

DSC03045.jpg

I had pasta with meatballs:

DSC03046.jpg

We both really loved our main dishes. Those were excellent!

And then we skipped dessert, as we knew we would be able to find cakes at the Outlook Café in the afternoon.

After looking over the menu I would have had what Michael had...... with modifications.. :headache: Dressing on the side just in case, and I would have to know what was in that cracked wheat.....

oooooh Martinis.. :drinking1

Looks good!

You can be a fan of Jimmy all you want...I'm a fan of Ashley. ;)

I do have the suspicion that this was the stuff that fascinated me so much last year when I visited the supermarket: Cool Whip.

:rotfl2: I grew up on that stuff! Judy buys Redi-whip though, which is real cream. I have no idea what Cool Whip is made out of, probably petroleum (just kidding), but I still love it.

Up Next: Martinis with Jesus

I've read about when he changed water into wine, but this is a new one for me. popcorn:: ;)

I really should not read your report right before lunch. Yum. Everything looked great!

Thanks for posting the menu. I enjoy reading them.

We plan a Panama cruise in, oh about five years. I have to retire first since they always happen during our spring and fall semesters. Oh well, something to look forward to after retirement.

The pulled pork flatbread was delicious, but I was surprised by the size, too. Looks like the alarm clock was a real pain. Fortunately we never had any reason to go near ours. We did not get any unwanted wake up calls and when we did need to wake up at a certain time, then Mickey did the honours.

Corinna

It does not look nearly as big as it was in the picture, so I am happy to hear that you found the size of it surprising, too!

That's the point: I don't need an alarm clock if I can schedule a wake up call from Mickey. Much better way to wake up!

Oh Nice - You expect a non wobbly table and they want to come in and fix the floor.:scared1: :rotfl2:

I have to say, I found the whole "your floor is uneven" story a bit disconcerting. What was going on with that floor??? Considering that this floor is one of the barriers between me and the ocean, I want it to be as perfect as possible!

I go Yum until I reach the ingredients and then there is one I can't have. I wonder how I would handle that? I guess I would have to contact them ahead with the allergy list? :confused3

I have no personal experience on this, but I have read about it a lot on the cruise board and observed it while on the ship. DCL has a great system for allergy dining. First, you can submit all your allergies beforehand to DCL. So the servers and the kitchen staff will be aware that they have a guest with special dietary needs. The process is that you will get the menus for the next night at the end of the dinner and you will be able to pick what you want to eat and they will prepare it in a way that is safe for you. Buffets are going to be more tricky, but the table service dining rooms will also prepare things just for you, I think there you can also order ahead the day before. I am not sure what your allergies are, but I seem to remember that there were a bunch of really unusual ones. So it seems like you really need special food being prepared for you. Most people seem to be very happy with the way they are treated, but I remember Corinna (dolphingirl47) mentioning that her allergy was not always taken into account, but then I think it was just one thing that she could not eat and I think she did not do the whole ordering the night before thing as her thing could usually be easily avoided. For you it really sounds like they need to make something special for you or seriously adjust their recipes.

:rotfl2:

I am happy if I can amuse people! But you will be disappointed that I don't really use horribly bad words in German. And isn't your mother German? She never used some bad language that you could have picked up? I find that even if I am totally immersed in an English speaking environment, that's where I would still use German as it just comes more naturally.

Glad you finally got a table to yourselves.

Most of your food looked good, with the exception of that pork/mango/pizza thing that Michael got. Not so sure about that one!

I work with some people from other countries and it's always fun to hear them use choice words in their native tongue! :rotfl2:

The pork pizza thing was tasty, I tried some of it. But a bit dry.

And isn't it funny how most people seem to use their mother tongue when they are really frustrated?

For a rather short Magdalene update, I found a lot to like in this one! :thumbsup2

I guess it were the food pictures! :goodvibes

The food was all tasty, it was just a bit sad that the descriptions were not really telling you the full story of what to expect on your plate...

I really cracked up over the alarm clock story! :lmao: Knowing you like i do, I can just hear that happening, but then, maybe it is because of. ................

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: Are you SURE you don't know some inappropriate German words? ?? :confused3 :scratchin

:lmao:

I'm enjoying all the updates, Magdalene! :cool2: I'm glad that you were able to get your room issues addressed. And that alarm clock thing. :badpc:

Looking forward to the next installment! :flower3:

It was really great to see Disney spring into action about the room!

:confused3

Isn't that alarm clock just horrible? Of course, now I am wondering what kind of colourful words you use in Austria...

That's sad to hear about the food quality on your cruise! I hope that next year when we cruise to Norway it will be better. Did you let Disney know about you thinking that the food quality was down?

I guess being very very close is better than finding yourself ON land when you are not supposed to be. :rotfl:

True, a ship ON land is never a good thing, unless it is a scheduled dry dock of course.

AHHHHHH :cloud9: Love just looking out at the water.

Exactly. That is one of the reasons why I so enjoy cruising. I just love to watch the water. And to me there is a difference in watching water from a moving ship and sitting stationary on a beach. The first is far more entertaining. Don't ask why though!! :scratchin

Always nice to win something. :thumbsup2

This was a good winning cruise for me!!

What a way to start the day. :rotfl2:

That's cruising! They do have mimosas on the menu for the breakfast in the dining rooms, too. There they are not free, but for 3,95 still a pretty good deal! I hope to convince my sister to have a mimosa breakfast with me one day of our Norway cruise next year! ::yes::

Nice to find someone from HOME. :)

It was nice and we saw her a few more times. She was really nice!

I had not scrolled down past the plate and thought - Bernaise sauce??? Looks like salsa. :rotfl2:

Exactly! I have to say that I never verified it during the cruise, but now writing about it and looking at the menu descriptions I do see these constantly where I think that this is not exactly what was on the menu.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: You may be right. :rotfl2:

Ah! Another mystery solved!

After looking over the menu I would have had what Michael had...... with modifications.. :headache: Dressing on the side just in case, and I would have to know what was in that cracked wheat.....

I commented on your previous post about how DCL handles allergies and I am sure they would have been able to serve you something delicious!

oooooh Martinis.. :drinking1

Those were tasty martinis!! :p
