If you rent a pontoon boat for fireworks...correct...book a fireworks cruise

I'm not exactly sure what your question is. You can book a fireworks cruise by calling Disney. But you won't be able to rent a pontoon boat from a resort marina in order to view fireworks. The marinas close early, usually by 5 or 6 pm.

I'm a little confused as to whether you are referring to renting a pontoon boat or booking a fireworks cruise? If you've booked a fireworks cruise over the phone, you can input the confirmation number into MDE by going to the "Notes" section in your plans section. When you open "Notes", it gives you the option of selecting a date, time, place and then manually inputting the info such as "fireworks cruise" plus the confirmation number. The info will then appear in your plans on MDE.

I'm assuming OP was wanting to link their Fireworks Cruise that they booked to their MDE account like you do resort reservations, tickets, etc.

Sure! It's a handy function for items, such as tours, BBB appts., fireworks cruises, etc., that you can't link in MDE. I also use it for any dining reservations I've made through opentable.
