Finally, after 20 years.... it is coming to DVD on November 16th!

I just ranted in another post that I will not be buying any more DVDs... but this will be an exception.

I was there, in Philly, for one of the greatest musical events of all time! 1.8 BILLION people watched it on TV.

And, you might catch a glimpse of me on the DVD!..... There was a really gorgeous, perfectly built woman, with a very revealing pink bikini, standing on a platform in the crowd all day. I'm the guy about 3 feet away with my eyes wide open!!!!

Seriously, she was there, and I know that she was caught on camera at least 3 times during the day.

What an absolutely fun day, with the exception of Patti LaBelle, who seemed to drone on, and on, and on...... like that bunny rabbit!

Buy or rent this. It should be a treat. And money from the sale is going to help the starving people of the world.

It is so funny that you bring this up because last night I was searching on Ebay and saw a person pre selling these!! I remember watching this on television ONLY because Duran Duran performed!! LOL

I will definitely be getting this!! :)

ME TOO! - the part about Duran Duran that is, along with U2, Phil Collins doing souble duty in the UK and US, Hall & Oates. It was quite an event, interesting that they are bringing it to DVD.

Being in Philly at that time, it was a great day for the city.

Sadly, the closest I got to that concert was the report from my dad who was stuck on I95 for over an hour.

He came home from work telling me about this "crazy concert". I, of course, wanted details, like who was singing, what did it sound like, etc...

His report "It was noise".

I reemember the live TV coverage with Madonna.. the heckler said "take it off" and she said "I ain't taking **** off!"

Cool :). I still have the videotapes I recorded, the t-shirt we got for making a donation, and a book about Live Aid from back when I was 14. I wonder what extras will be on the DVDs :scratchin.

(Papa Deuce loves Walt Disney World)

I still have the brand new t-shirt never worn from the donation I made. Can't wait to see this and see what my kids think of the big hair and bands of the 80's! :p

I still have the Live Aid picture book of all the performers.

I live in Philly, and that was an exciting day. I have some of on VHS. For those of you who don't know, the stadium (JFK Stadium) is no longer there, it was torn down in the late 80's or early 90's because it was dangerously old and falling apart.

Thanks for the heads up! I remember watching this concert and being so enthralled with it all.:D Unfortunately, we didn't have a VCR in 1985 so I could not tape it. I've been waiting for this for a long time.

My favorite part was Led Zepplein. I was freaking out that they were "on stage" playing and singing!!! I had never seen Robert Plant sing 'LIVE'!

When Stairway to Heaven was playing I was just in awe.

I'll have to get that.
I was glued to my tv when Live Aid was on. I wanted so bad to be there, but I was in high school and had no money (except my meager allowance).

I remember how excited I was to see George Michael.
