I registered DS's leappad the other night, and in addition to the Alphabet game code that downloaded immediately when I registered, I got a mail yesterday morning thanking me for registering and giving me ANOTHER code for a free game!

I did get an additional one, but I don't know the name, I just inputted the code and it downloaded to my computer. I think I have to sync his leappad before the name shows up.

The free app 'Alphabet stew' offer is extended. I downloaded mine yesterday! It takes quite a while to do it all, I only got 1 Leap Pad done yesterday in my little bit of time. I will do the 2nd today.

Does anyone know if the AC adapter from the leapster 2 system will fit the leappad? Also what are the best kind of rechargeable batteries to get for it?

I was going to set up my leap pads today, but I can't figure out how to get them out of the box and keep the box in tact for rewrapping. What did you all do?

I opened the tabs at the top (or bottom) can't remember which and slid a butter knife to break the glue seal. Then I slid it out. There are snaps that hold the plastic shell over the Leappad.

It slides back in and then you can re-glue the flaps. I will probably just wrap it up in the case I bought for it.

I tried to open the plastic tabs to get the pad out after opening the box along the bottom, but can't figure out how to get it out without tearing up the plastic covering over the leappad... Ideas/suggestions? Driving me CRAZY!!!

Is anyone else having trouble getting to the app store from Leapfrog connect? I had it working a few days ago, but now it is giving me errors when I try to go to the app store.

Edited to add: I was able to get it to work later in the afternoon. For a while my $25 in credit from previously entered app cards vanished, but it came back within a couple hours. My DD4s Leappad is loaded and ready for her 10 hour trip tomorrow (with a set of spare batteries too).

There were four Leappads at my Target store today. I guess those that thought they could resell them for $200+ found out they couldn't so they returned them. That was the most Leappads I had seen in a single store at one time. I had never seen more than 2 at a time on the shelf and that was back in November.

WOO hoo really?! Ill go check tomorrow! The kids rec'd $40 in app cards from my brother and I purchased another $40, I put them to great use. I know with the deals available on Explorer games it cost more to buy the games in the app store however I do not have 2 kids fighting over the same game AND NO lost game cartridges! I purchased Mr.Pencil and they love it.

Yes it took me 2 hours yesterday to download 3 apps between 2 leappads
