I thought "Roger and Me" was the most brilliant documentary I ever saw.

I agree with everything he says apart from gun control.

Oh by the way Slenkar, I do agree with gun control laws, in fact we need to make them tougher. As far as the rest of your comments please take it over to the debate board, I'd like to keep this thread focused on discussing (and just informing about) Michael Moore's new movie. You'll like the debate board, and I'm sure you'll find many people willing to have a go at a debate with you. Your comments are a little too heavy duty for the community board. Besides it's too early in the morning for me to have to think that hard LOL!!!

The movie got great reviews from most of the critics. The title confounded me until I read an interview with Micheal Moore. The title is taken from the fact that the boys involved in the shooting were bowling with their classmates less than eight hours before the rampage started.

I agree that there should be tigher laws on guns but when I was saying 'gun control' I meant banning guns.

Yeh the movie looks o.k. I regularly access Michaels site which has a good news section.

He has a part of the website where he mentions that lighters were not banned on aeroplanes, very interesting.

I think its a big shame that this movie is about gun control because there are many other things it could have been about.

Is the film about gun control?

I saw Michael Moore doing interviews and he is a member of the NRA and is also a gun owner. I think he is attacking media and their look at guns. He refernced Canada and how little gun problems they have compared to the USA and was wondering why that was. Hence, he made a film.

I also enjoyed Roger and Me - One problem though - My Dad works for the Human Resource Dept of GM - He didn't appreciate the film as much as I did.

Its Michael Moore's typical anti-capitalism/pro-socialist BS from the reviews ive heard and is strongly anti-gun/anti second amendment rights!!

With all the so-called patriot act laws being passed its clear now more than ever we need to uphold our second amendment rights and do everything to stop the government from infringing on our rights and using the sniper case to take away more of our rights.
As for the statements made by slenkar im glad he made them here and contiunes do so and isnt censored or made to feel unwelcome by some on this thread. All viewpoints should be expressed, if we agree with them or not!

Yes Bob O its important to conserve people's rights because of atrocities such as Ruby Ridge,Waco, and Kent state.

I don't believe in banning guns, it is unrealistic, and there are so many people who are responsible gun owners, and to penalize them would be unfair. I do think though we need a better system for licsencing them, and better systems for background checks. We need to find a way to keep guns as much as possible out of the hands of criminals. I know easier said than done.

As far as my reply to Slenkar goes, he understood (or I think he did) why I responded the way I did. It was not to make him feel unwelcome on this thread. Slenkar you understood right?
