If you just returned for MCO and took DME...

Would you report back on how much time you had to get through security and get to your flight after drop off? We have a late-ish flight (8:30 PM from MCO). I would like to know whether we should plan on getting fueled up with dinner and snacks back at the parks or grab something at the airport. Thanks!

Your DME bus will leave the resort around 5:30 for your 8:30 flight. Since you know you will be taking time for a meal in that timeframe, it is better, anxiety wise, to plan to eat at the airport inside security, requesting (at least a day in advance) an earlier DME bus for example 4:30. This way, if something goes wrong, you won't have to run for your plane. Even 5:00,, 3-1/2 hours before flight time, would be safe and you could eat on the plane if time got really tight.

We have no problem with the 3 hrs before flight time that DME does. You really don't want to cut it too closely at MCO. We could tell you that someone had traveled through there yesterday and it only took them 40 mins to get from their drop off, through security and to the gate. However, that could change today! There is just no way of telling how long it's going to take. So....I like to eat a big late lunch, around 1:30-2 when I have a late afternoon flight. Then, when I get to the airport, I can take my time, get through security, and then get something to eat closer to the gates. I hate feeling rushed...much rather have a ton of time to sit idly by at my gate.
