I think this is my first post here at the podcast board.

Thank you for bring back a great childhood memory during last weeks Fantasyland 101. During our first family trip to WDW in 1979 my siblings and I would ride if you had wings over and over again after we ran out of tickets. We had so much fun. I love going to the parks now but back in the 70's things were so much simpler.

I have never, ever heard of this ride. It must have been gone before I started going in 1993. Sounds like it was fun, sort of along the lines of "Adventures Through Inner Space" at Disneyland.

Sayhello

I loved If you had Wings. Years later and I still remember the song and most of the spiel at the end.

Love, Love that ride.:cloud9::worship::worship::worship:

Unfortunaley by the 90's the attraction was gone.

It was very much the same ride set up as "Adventures through Inner Space." except it was all these exotic (at the time) Ports of call

My dad was a pilot at Eastern for nearly 30 years. I loved this ride growing up because it was so cool riding the old mans company ride at the Magic Kingdom. I was very sad when they put in the Delta ride. That said, I love the Buzz Lightyear ride.

I remember riding it as a child in the 70's then going back in the mid-80's as an adult and enjoying just as much. It must have shut down shortly after that trip. Count me in as a fan.

I wonder, though, how we'd all feel about it in this age of advanced technology.

Add me to the list of fans of this ride. I am not sure if it is because the song would get stuck in your head or it if is just becaues I liked the ride so much. I remember riding it in the early 80's with my grandparents (who didn't ride any "thrill" rides) so it holds a very special place in my heart.

I wonder, though, how we'd all feel about it in this age of advanced technology.

I loved the ride, but I'm not sad that it is no longer around. It is not a classic ride like Small World, Carousal of Progress or the Tiki Room. It was a commercial for Eastern Airlines. Buzz Lightyear is better ride.
