If you had to pick ONE ADR?

We never usually make ADRs, (we usually stay offsite with a rental car, and only eat lunch in the parks) but this year we're staying at the WL, and figured we'd make one or two ADRs, and wing the rest of usual. Its two young adults, so we wouldn't be doing any character meals or anything.

Our schedule right now is (Middle of May):

Monday: Arrive in afternoon, head to MK
Tuesday: AK for the day, hop over to DHS for F!
Wednesday: IoA for the day, DTD at night
Thursday: HS (closes at 7), thinking of heading over the GF/Poly to watch wishes
Friday: Epcot, maybe a break, and then staying for EMH and Illuminations

Now my question is, if you could make one or two ADRs, where would you make them? I know its getting a little late and some of the places are full, but there's so many options I'm not sure where to start! Thanks everyone!

I would say Le Cellier, And maybe 50's prime time.

Thanks! We're up for either- maybe one of each? We're not too picky, but we thought it'd be nice to have plans for one or two sit down dinners this trip

Artist Point is right at the WL and it's wonderful! The service, the food, and the atmosphere are all great! Also, California Grill at the Contemporary is amazing. You can get a later ADR and watch Wishes from high atop the hotel! The service, food and of course the atmosphere are again all winners. Plus there are boats that run between WL and the Contemporary, so it will be very easy for you to get there. If you don't care about seeing Wishes, Hoop de Doo Revue at the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (also accessible to you by boat) is a lot of fun with great food, and Citricos at the Grand Floridian is wonderful. The food is some of the best in WDW and the service matches up. Flying Fish at the Boardwalk is wonderful as well. If you can't get any of these for May, then I would try some of the less popular, but equally as fantastic places, such as Nine Dragons in China, Marrakesh in Morocco, Tutto Italia in Italy, or San Angel Inn in Mexico, all in Epcot. There is also Tusker House in AK, Liberty Tree Tavern in MK, and 50's Prime Time Cafe in DHS, which is a personal favorite of mine. Hope these help!

I agree with 50's Primtime Cafe. Its good food for a reasonable price. The fried chicken is to die for!

I wouldn't waste time or money on Le Cellier. It's one of the most overrate places on property. If you're paying out of pocket and you have kids, I would recommend Via Napoli. It was delish & reasonably prices for a sit-down. If you have the dining plan, I would go to one of these: Tony's if you want MK, Ohana if you want breakfast, Chefs for Epcot and Yak & Yetti for AK. I haven't been to sit-down at HS but have heard great things about Mama Melrose. We also loved Whispering Canyon at WL but it's loud, so if you're ok with that I would go there.

On Thursday you could try for dinner at O'Hana's then walk out on the beach of the Poly and watch wishes.
O'Hana's was our fave ADR.

Since you are staying at the WL, we recommend Artist Point. We had a great dinner there. The service was great and it is not noisy or hectic!
The food was excellent and we had a great table overlooking the pool and lake. The best part - no commute!

If you are planning on doing F!- I would try and book a Fantasmic pkg meal if any are still open. I'd skip Hollywood & Vine, but Mama Melrose and Brown Derby are both good options. I just hate the idea of wasting massive amounts of time in line hoping I'll get in to see F!.

If you're heading over to either the Poly or GF to watch Wishes, 'Ohana, Narcoosee's and Citrico's are coming to mind. Citrico's will have the most availability and many feel this would be the best food quality option. You won't get a view from Citrico's, so you'd have to time your meal to end prior to the start of Wishes.

SInce you are kinda running out of time for ressies. I'd pick Chefs De France @ Epcot and Kona Cafe @ The Poly.

If you can wiggle in a 3rd table service meal I'd pick Crystal Palace @ MK for the breakfast buffet with Pooh and friends. The best puffed french toast ever!!! Mmmmm!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! That was a huge help in narrowing down the seemingly hundreds of options we had!

So far, the DBF has decided he likes citrico's, so we made at 7:30 reservation there for that thursday night. Do you think that would be enough time to eat and then be down on the beach to watch wishes?


We're still pouring over the menus for the other suggestions, especially the Epcot ones. Thanks again everyone!

Our favorite restaurants are Cali Grill, Artist Point (right at WL!) that's a bonus, and Narcoossees. Watching the FW from Cali Grill was awesome. You could also watch them from your table at Narcoossees. Le Chefs de France was also an excellent meal at Epcot. I know you have gotten a lot of other good suggestions too. Have Fun!

Chef's de France is excellent in Epcot and I noticed you were going to be at DTD on Tuesday and our family loves Raglan Road - good food and entertainment. Have fun.

Depends on the price range and experience you want.

For me personally, if I only had one meal, I would want something very nice, so I'd go with a signature. My favorite is Citricos. A bonus with Citricos is it's very easy to get an ADR for.

If it had to be a cheaper and more casual option, then I'd go with Sanaa.

I am in the EXACT same situation as the OP. I've always stayed off-site and had a rental car, so I've just had CS at the parks then have eaten at a variety of restaurants off-site. (Except for CRT--where I got engaged!). I'm doing my Honeymoon at WL in September and the one ADR we have booked has been for California Grill to eat dinner and see wishes. So...that's one the I picked!

(We are just staying at the WL for two nights--then moving over to a Marriott where I can get the rest of our stay for free with my points, if you are wondering why I didn't book more.)
