Okay, I am doing a little research for a friend of mine who is taking her family on their first Disney trip. Unfortunately, they HAVE to go in March over their Spring Break. March 10-16, specifically. She would prefer to stay at the All-Star Sports resort because her family (dh, ds12, ds8) are huge sports fans. She is open to looking at a moderate resort.

So, what important tips do you have for staying during this peak time that i can pass on to her? I know you will all have a bunch of great information!

Thanks!!

Plan, plan, and plan some more. :goodvibes We went over Spring Break in 2004 and that was before I had even found this site, so you are ahead of the game.

Be prepared for crowds. Get to the parks as soon as they open and figure that by noon-2:00pm, the parks are going to be so packed that you're elbow to elbow with people. We had each person pick a couple of "must do" rides or shows in each parks and made sure to get them out of the way. Do not expect that you're going to get on everything and do everything there is to do.

Use Fast Pass as much as possible.

Plan and make your ADRs at the 180 day mark.

Take breaks for swiming, exploring the hotel, etc. It really rejuvenates you.

I'd highly recommend she sign up with Tour Guide Mike. His services will help maximize their time in the parks, especially with crowds. There is a banner on the Disboards home page that she can click on to get a $3 discount.

Hope this helps!
