If you had a month to stay at WDW. . .

This year I bought an AP, and my DH has agreed to a few trips (bless his heart) in hopes that I would get sick of it. I was actually hoping I'd get it out of my system too, and get sick of it.

Nope. It doesn't work. I could definately spend 30 days in WDW provided I wasn't away from any of my family for that long. A month long vacation to WDW sounds like heaven to me.

Do it! Do it!

I would have no problem, although, I think 4 week long trips a year might be better.

No way! I would be more than happy to spend a month in WDW. There is so much to see and do I wouldn't be bored.

Absolutely not! I would love it. I don't think I would be bored one bit. I would get to do everything I want without having to rush.

Ideally I would spend each week at a different resort, I would also like to do many tours, a fireworks cruise, go to the movies in DTD, and even get to sight see a little bit outside of WDW. I could do WDW for a month no problem!

we go every other year for the month of december and we never ever get sick of it.

no i wouldn't get sick of it, we went for 16 nights this year and it wasn't long enough, we are doing 21 nights when we next go. I think you would just relax more and enjoy the resorts facilities more, and take the parks at a lovely pace. I would definately have a rental car though so you could get off site for a bit of a break, and to eat some meals outside the world, but no i wouldn't get sick of it.

:cool1: :cool1: We arrive at WDW on Dec. 28 this year and leave to come back home on Feb. 12, 2006. :cool1: :cool1: Our long awaited "retirement trip." We will be splitting our stay between OKW, POP, and Vistana.  We will still be sad to leave, but hope to be back in May for a normal stay. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

No way no how I would not get sick of it...I would stay in a 1 bedroom, if it is just me, and 2 bedroom for me and all of the cherubs. When we go with the kids we try to stay as long as possible. This time will be De. 25 until January 8...we love to be able to stop and take it all in as others have said. As others have said I would need a kitchen to cook in though. Would not want to eat out every meal! :earseek:

Wow that is awesome! Happy retriement and enjoy your hard earned trip! What a special thing to do with each other. :goodvibes

I would love to stay that long - alas my husbands time frame for a reasonable stay would come more in the range of 6 to 8 days so I would have to have one of my daughters finish out the month! I have seen a couple of posts where people are staying 3 or more weeks and I think that it is great. There is so much to do and see in WDW - I don't think it could get old for me.

I think 2 weeks is about all I could take. It would have to be at an uncrowded time of year. This past trip we were there for 5 days, 6 nights (arrived in the evening, left very early in the morning). We spent one day at Seaworld and had a 4 day parkhopper pass. We only parkhopped one day and we only spent one day at the pool. We wound up skipping MGM all together. Two weeks would allow us to do more of the hotel based activities (perfectly princess tea party for my little one, pirate or albatross cruise for the boys, some of the AKL children's programs, etc), still see all of the parks at a leisurely pace and not feel so rushed. Anything beyond 2 weeks I think I would start to go batty.

Oh, and I think I would book either the biggest suite at AKL or the Poly for the trip.

I can only take Disney magic for about 7 days. I love to vacation at WDW but I always get homesick at day 6. I know many people stay for a long time. Our pace is too fast and we get burnt out quickly. Traveling with 2 young kids is exhausting.

Hi, we now have the chance after 30 years of one week visits. We stay for 3 months (Jan 1 to April 1) just south of Disney in a home off Old Lake Wilson Rd. We rent the home for a great price during this "Low" season time.

The really fun thing now is to get the annual pass and go for short spurts for specific things...We spent a whole afternoon last year just listening to all the different sets of songs by the singers in the American Pavillion at EPCOT. They do about 4 different sets and the singers rotate each set...We got to know them personally and it was really fun.

We can watch for different shows and catch them for a few hours. We usually do dinner somewhere and always catch either Illuminations, Wishes, or Fantasmic...never seem to get tired of those.

Some things are so fun to do many times as you think you have
"seen it all" but there is always something new in the Haunted Mansion that I have never seen or this board tells me to find. Spaceship Earth really has some incredible detail that you have to watch for time after time.

I have spent a whole morning just on Mainstreet, 3 hours in the Walt Disney exibit at MGM...hours at Animal Kingdom watching just the animals.

Of course it is not all Disney, we do love the flea markets and I "work" about 15 hours a week at a Mystic Dunes golf course as a starter.

Hope all of you who want to can live the dream some day....

All the best...Granpa Ted

I think it would be great! You could go to the parks at a leisurely pace, if you don't do all you want to one day, there are plenty more left to go back. It would take the stress away... and let you enjoy all of the little things about Disney that often get overlooked. Sign me up> :flower:

I don't know about a month be we are doing 1/2 month here shortly. Dec. 30-Jan. 14. We have stayed that long before. I know from just staying that long that it's good to not go commando style. If I were there for a month I would just go to the parks for short periods of time. I would spend time at FW biking, etc. I would take all the trails I could find on resort maps. I would also do a lot of off property things such as Sea World, the Holy Land Experience, and so on... I would also want facilites in which I could cook occasionally. I would take every resort tour that I could, too. I definately would spend some time in St. Augustine! Have fun!

:teeth: We usually do short (4-5 park days) trips. I woud like to do a 10-12 day trip sometime, but a month at WDW begins to sound like a bit much even for a Disney nut like me :teeth:
