If you do not like The Haunted Mansion Holiday, but love Halloween question

i just wish they wouldnt do the nbc overlay during halloween...thats when its supposed to be spooooookey! during the other two months its up, i dont mind it. its just that its the only scary ride at DL and it should be celebrated most during october, not changed to make it feel more like christmas (to me anyways). im a big nbc fan, but im also a big HM fan...
o well, nothing we can do about it though...so i just try and enjoy it

The last TWO times I was in DL, I wanted to head over to Pirate's Lair and we never made it. This time, in October, I am determined to go. What's over there, Budgie? I always hear some sort of stuff going on from the 'mainland' but I can never see what it is. Tom Sawyer's Island was one of my favorite things about DL as a kid and teen. Just love that rickety bridge! Now, of course, I would probably fall on my behind if I tried to cross it.

The main cave you walk through has some spooky and cool surprises! Also you can take your picture with a mound of treasure, and get "caught" in the bone cage. Jack Sparrow is also there along with some singing pirates. One stopped to talk to my son because he had on his POTC movie shirt.

Anyway, off topic of HM, but just wanted to point out everything is worth a try.

Thanks! It sounds cool. I don't know why we didn't make it there last year. I love new photo opportunities, and I assume a Photopass person is over there now, so I am dragging my friend over to the Lair. She loves POTC, the ride, so she should like this!
