OK, I just was at the Maze end room and talked to VMK_Lion. He/She said that everyone who had a problem completing the maze should go to the VMK homepage contact form and tell them what happened " Crashed, exited via teleport", whatever the problem was and also what level maze you were on. VMK_Lion indicated to me that the prize would be awarded to you. :earsboy:
 
well for what it's worth i submitted this to contact us:
"today i was trying to go through both the meduim maze and the difficult maze and i got to the room and then boom! when i teleport i end up on the outside of the room and have to start over with 400 other people. i tried again today and litteraly spent hours getting in line (i was glad to see there were 3 rooms BTW) behind 200 or so people.

i must say i was really looking forward to this event for the last two weeks and i was so frustrated that i never even got to complete the maze because people would not move out of the way of the teleport and the game would boot me out after an hour of waiting.

i just know i have a headache and it almost brought me to tears a few times. -sigh- and i wanted the new haunted mansion pin and candy cauldron.
so whats my point? i guess... it's will these items be for sale? or will i just be stuck not being able to get them even though i waited in line for hours and could not do this??? :( help!

The "contact us" button is at the bottom of the VMK home page :earsboy:
 
Why don't they just give everyone the prizes since i'm sure everyone that plays VMKtried to get into the maze and either crashed in the queue or in the maze.

Letter I sent to VMK:

"Ok, this is the second time I am inputting this complaint becuase the website is not user friendly. I was another one of the many having troubles with the mazes this weekend. Saturday I waited in a 600+ line to get into the 1st room. I waited and finally got in and chose the difficult maze. I made it through a few rooms and then was booted. I couldn't move! I was so very frustrating. Then today (Sunday) I noticed the 3 seperate rooms for the mazes and thought to give it another try. I picked the moderate this time since it was the smallest wait (200+ people). I got into the room that CL_Enderz was monitoring and finally made it through the line inside and was told to go ahead into the maze. Well, I made it to the front door of the room - which won't let me in the maze. This was because someone was still blocking the teleporter. Needless to say I gave up, espeically since the wait by then had doubled. This is very sad and disappointing to me. I just expected VMK - ha, DISNEY no less, to be more organized and professional. And this just didn't seem so. I'm now going to have to trade an arm, leg and maybe an eyeball for these items. In the future I suggest.. no mazes!"

I'll let you know if I receive any response.

yesterday I sent a message to vmk about how patient (waiting hours all day) and excited he was to do the difficult maze. Then how sad and upset he was when he crashed each time he was 2nd in line to get into the teleporter. VMK gifted him the cauldron within an hour of my message.

I'm with Mal. I sent a letter Saturday night, no reply. I sent another this morning about the new problem getting disconnected every 45 minutes so I could never finish. I'm not expecting a quick reply or any prizes. They are probably going to get 5000 emails, and most of them will probably go into the circular file.
 
OMG ty so much I was trying for like four hours just to get into a maze room because I would always crash. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
 
well, i got sucked in yesterday with the football games on, and decided (over and over) to try it.

I ended up mad (like all of you) and on top of that had 2 crying kids from them getting booted half way through the mazes.

So, heres my letter. (sorry if i "borrowed" some lines from previous letters) lol. feel free to do the same with mine.

I am writing in about this "maze event" this past weekend.

On Sunday, both myself (vmk name MousseDude), and also my son (VMK name ShocoMousse) and my daughter (VMK Name PixieBecca) were trying to go through both the meduim maze and the difficult maze and we all would wait in line to get in, would get into the maze and through the first 2 or 3 rooms and then boom! We would get disconnected and/or booted from the maze. Many times people simply would not move in the maze, cause massive backups and we would eventually get booted from the maze or get disconnected altogether because we had to stand in one place unable to move forward or backward due to the log jam. Of course then we would have to start over with 400 other people in line again, which we did, repeatedly. We had two computers going at any given time and we all literally spent hours getting in line (We WERE, however glad to see there were 3 rooms on Sunday as opposed to the mess on Saturday) behind 200-400 or more people and repeatedly tried to finish the maze.

I must say I was really looking forward to this event for the last two weeks, and my children were even moreso. We were very frustrated that, despite our repeated attempts, we never even got to complete the maze because people would not move out of the way of the teleporters, or we would lose connection. The people refusing to move is our biggest complaint. We would have to sit in one of the maze roms waiting to be able to move, and undoubtedly we would get booted or disconnected every time.

I am an adult, and while I am very disappointed not only in the event, but also in the Disney company (which my family truly adores), I can live with my disappointment. My children, however, were literally brought to tears over it all and it is hard to console a 10 and 13 yr old when I myself am feeling the same frustration and disappointment in the whole thing.

We all really wanted to complete the mazes and try and EARN the prizes on our own, which one of the staffers told us would be the new haunted mansion master gracey pin for the medium maze and the candy cauldron for the difficult maze.

This event, its planning, and execution, however, have made that impossible. I guess what my question is, is that will these items be for sale so that I can get them for my children, and also myself?

They are VERY disappointed in not only VMK but also Disney at the moment, and I would like to be able to tell them SOMETHING.

If they will be for sale, then that is fine, although the three of us are still very disappointed in the execution of the maze event.

If they will not be for sale, I do not know if there is a way to award the three of us the prizes anyway. We were unable to complete the mazes, so that does not seem fair to get the prizes. But then again, the whole execution of the maze event itself does not seem fair either so we will leave it in your hands.

I sent my letter out last night, pretty much outlining the frustration of
everyone. I also asked about acquiring items buy buying them with credits,
and I sympathized with the staff. I didn't blame them, I blamed the game.

Since it seems that it was such a widespread problem, I'm thinking that
the Powers That Be might grant prizes due to the overwhelmingly obvious
frustration among the players. At least that's what I'd do, as it would
be excellent customer service and PR.
 
Good luck with your letter, MouseDude. I sent a message yesterday, too. I have to say that VMK staffers have always responded to my requests and awarded me with the things that had been neglected to be added to my inventory. For example, I went to WDW in July and completed the quests. I registered my screen name (or thought I did!) at VMK Central. However, when I arrived home I did not have my Born in Park badge. After a single e-mail, it was given to me. I also did not receive my black Mickey ears. So after two more e-mails, they also popped in my inventory and I received an e-mail from a staff member, apologzing for the confusion. I was delighted. I hope your outcome is the same!
 
I'd like to know how it is that some of you can actually see the items in your inventory when TPTB tell you they've corrected a problem!

During the first event they said they gave me an Invisibility pin because they never judged my room. They closed the bug report & refused to answer further questions about why I didn't actually get it.

During the Hong Kong opening I bought 2 of those expensive pins (one for me & one for DSis), the credits were removed from my inventory but the pins didn't appear. Again they told me that they'd put them in my inventory, but I couldn't see them....refused to answer me because they'd closed the report.

That's just 2 of the things I've contacted them about. It seems almost as pointless as trying (along with 5000 other people) to tell them I couldn't finish the Mazes. I did tell them, but even if they actually "give" me the prize I doubt I'll see it! :badpc: :badpc:
