If you crashed on the maze-PM VMK and get prize!

For what it is worth, I sent messages for both myself and my daughters. I doubt that we will see any prizes, but at least we let them know of our disappointment.

I also suggested that they try this event again but spread it out over a little longer period of time. To have this for only two days ensures that everybody will bombard it at the same time. If it were a few more days in length, many could try on some of the other days to free up the more crowded days.

Oh well. No prizes for us I guess.

WhenI got stuck at the steps for the zillionth time, noticed a staff member and talked to her about all the problems I had. There were also about five others in the same prediciment. When we had finished our stories, she took down our names, and what do u know, yesterday i found a candy cauldron in my inventory!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :goodvibes

I'd like to know how it is that some of you can actually see the items in your inventory when TPTB tell you they've corrected a problem!

During the first event they said they gave me an Invisibility pin because they never judged my room. They closed the bug report & refused to answer further questions about why I didn't actually get it.

During the Hong Kong opening I bought 2 of those expensive pins (one for me & one for DSis), the credits were removed from my inventory but the pins didn't appear. Again they told me that they'd put them in my inventory, but I couldn't see them....refused to answer me because they'd closed the report.

That's just 2 of the things I've contacted them about. It seems almost as pointless as trying (along with 5000 other people) to tell them I couldn't finish the Mazes. I did tell them, but even if they actually "give" me the prize I doubt I'll see it!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am not laughing at you PM but this so does sound like the VMK we know and love ;)

I sent them a letter from me and I plan on sending them a letter about my son.

Who wanted to do the mazes but I would not even let him try...distracted him with other things all week-end because of the problems I was having, I did not want him like MD's children reduced to tears about the whole event yet again. He could care less about the Pin and he probably would like the Candy Cauldron but he really enjoys mazes and games like the new one in Tomorrowland.

I will be suggesting to them to stop all events until such time they can do one without the frustrations and anger that every event has caused since DAY 1 BETA May 23, 2005. It went live June 27, 2005. They were in alpha release even before they release Beta....I was not there during Alpha.

You would think after 5 months they would have some of these kinks worked out and could run a smooth event.

yesterday I sent a message to vmk about how patient (waiting hours all day) and excited he was to do the difficult maze. Then how sad and upset he was when he crashed each time he was 2nd in line to get into the teleporter. VMK gifted him the cauldron within an hour of my message.

i actually am very glad to hear that they gifted it to your son. at least they are trying to help out the kids.

I sent a letter yesterday and am still waiting for any kind of response. I've checked my inventory and have not been 'gifted' with anything.

I may send another letter today for my son, but we only tried his character. Mostly because even though he watched me repeatedly lose connection, he thought maybe his guy would have better luck.

I spent them an email evertime I crashed and there is nothing extra in my stuff this morning. :(

When I went into the Medium Level maze on Sunday VMK_Babs (I think that was the name) was in it and I mentioned that I hope it doesn't crash since it crashed several times on my son. She said no it wouldn't just keep moving and it will not crash. Ok so next room and I get disconnected. I waited an hour to get back in again. I get back in and she is still there and I tell her I crashed in the 2nd room. Well I get through the first room and get disconnected in the teleporter. Now I wait another hour to get in and it is 10:02 and closed but VMB_Babs is still in there. I told her what happened again and she said I know you were here several times and you will get the prize. I asked her if she could check to see if my son KingZ would get one and she said no.

Monday morning I logged in and yes I had the pin but my son didn't. I did use the contact form for him and have not received a reply. I will try and send it again.

you know you think a company worth aproximatly 1,000,000,000,000 dollars could pay to be a little more orderly and im surprised that community leaders were the ones that owned the rooms. I think they should make multiple starting points all going into the maze but people might go into other teleporters that lead to other starting points.

P.S. what ever that means. im not sure about that trillion thing its probably a lot under that but i didnt feel like putting much into it and i couldnt use a calcuator because it didnt have enough space to put in 13 spaces

well I sent an e-mail and this was their response:

"Hi there,
Thanks for writing to us about our recent Maze Event. We're sorry you didn't manage to complete the maze - please tell us which level(s) you were trying and we'll see what we can do. :)
Thanks,

So I e-mailed them back asking for the prizes and this was their response:

"Thank you for your email.
We have closed your original help request, because we felt that our last email to you answered your question. If you need more help, please use the VMK Help Tool again and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Now how did the other e-mail answer my question? :confused3 :confused3
I guess it was worth a try???

OK, I just was at the Maze end room and talked to VMK_Lion. He/She said that everyone who had a problem completing the maze should go to the VMK homepage contact form and tell them what happened " Crashed, exited via teleport", whatever the problem was and also what level maze you were on. VMK_Lion indicated to me that the prize would be awarded to you. :earsboy:

So how long does it take? I wrote my first email on Saturday.

While some have reported getting these prizes I would not count of them showing up for most of us. VMK may prove me wrong but I doubt it.

Hey! I thought I would post an update. I haven't received an e-mail response or any prizes in my inventory, but I am still hopeful.

Well I got a reply from the letter I sent Sunday before they opened. Looks like a form letter to me. I'll check my inventory when I get on line and see if I got anything. I kind of doubt it, but I never thought I would get a reply either.
Here's the letter I got:

Hi there,

Thanks for writing to us to let us know your thoughts about our recent Maze
Event. We're sorry that you did not enjoy it 100% and hope that you will attend
another event in the future.

So true Mal - I think maybe I enjoyed 1% when my DD7 was first in queue and then made it to the middle of the difficult maze only to crash!!! That was fun!! Enjoy 100% - i am glad we gave up early.

PS. No response to my Maze Email.

I'm with you Mal. I had to finally just walk away from the computer Sunday evening to keep from smashing it. That 45 minute time out was a killer. I would get into the maze and lose connection. But I kept having hope I could finish it in time so kept trying (Big optimistic moron that I am)
Their reply was kind of an apology, but not really. Kind of like a "no admission of guilt" apology. I am over it now though, I just needed a few good VMK days to wipe the taste of the event out of my mouth :)
