If it's a trip where we plan to visit the parks - BC or BW for the access but when we just want to relax and have lots of space for the kids to wander around, lots of pool choices and quick access to DTD, we stay at SSR.

Either of the Epcot resorts would be my vote.

We just got back from BWV and the location of BWV and BCV is hard to beat. Also, in April it is warm (it was mid 80's to low 90's this week) so have close access to the pool is a great option!

BWV for the location, and because DH insists on spending at least part of each trip in the Epcot resort area. I don't like mid-vacation room switches, so we've made BWV our home.

Since you are renting a car, if I were you I would try to get the resort that most appeals to what you like or want out of your vacation.

Having the car will spare you any waits for transportation, so if one of the resorts that is out a bit further (AKV) is something you think you would like to try, then go for it.

We rent a car when we go, and we have stayed at OKW, SSR, AKV, BWV's. For me, I would prefer BWV or BC when we in October, being able to walk over to EPCOT for the F&W festival makes it so much more enjoyable and relaxing. If I was buying at this point in time, I think I would go Beach Club strictly for the location, although we have never stayed at the resort.

My daughters favorite resort is AKV, and since we have a car we dont have to worry about WDW transportation. That is not a slam, because when we have used it, I thought they did a good job. But, if your kids are tired, or having a meltdown, nothing seems as long as waiting for a bus and then having a full busride back to your resort.

The convience of the car makes this something you should choose by where you want to stay the most. With the kids, I suggest trying AKV, our daughter loves it. The points are reasonable, and this will be our third October there - great resort

Our two favorite resorts are VWL and AKV. We like them both for different reasons. With younger children, I would choose VWL - for the proximity to MK and it is only a boat ride away from Fort Wilderness where there are many things for them to do and see as well.

I would have voted for BLT based on your children's ages, but since it's not on your list, I voted for VWL, because it's closer to MK. Also I think at SAB would be difficult for an adult to watch two kids that far apart in age. It's such a large pool and very crowded. I just don't think young children really enjoy EPCOT so I don't consider a resort within walking distance to that park really a good option.

While we love all the DVC villas, I voted for BCV as we love location and pools. Our real favoite is HH - we all enjoy the resort and pool.

I picked VWL.....because we have YET to stay there. It is on my TO STAY list. We have stayed everywhere but there and BLT at WDW. We have stayed at Vero but not HHI.

I have always wanted to stay at VWL before they ever had DVC there. It is just a beautiful resort.... it has a cozy feeling.

VWL...just because I always visit at Christmas time. Otherwise BCV.

DSis and I are going the same week and our choice is BWV. It's during F&G time, and there are nice things at Epcot for the kids to do.

Voted AKV because we really enjoy the animals and the theme. But we enjoy each of the resorts for different reasons and like a variety of on-property experiences at different times of the year. So we regularly stay at BLT, BCV and OKW. We have also stayed at SSR and VWL often.
