If you could start a dream business, what would it be?

I think if I could start my dream business I would want to open up a cute, little bookshop with a small bakery inside.

if i could open any business, i would own a bakery. i would make fantastic cakes and cupcakes, cookies, pies, you name it. i can't do this because i have carpal tunnel in both hands, but that is my dream.

I do not have to get out of my pajamas on days I feel like it
It is very close by


OH.....LUCKY ME...I have that now....
yeah, self employed and work from home

I still have my real job so to speak but I did start my own Cupcakery : ) I stay busy

I am working on opening a big bakery with a friend so "Brynlee's Place" will roll over into that and her "Cake's By Vicky" will become one big place where everything is tasty but nothing has calories ( ok I lied about the calories LOL)

I am 43 so you are never to old to live your dreams

I would love to start my own writing business, but is there such a thing as a writing consultant?

I've been writing as one part of a job for almost 20 years. I've written SOP's (Standard Operating Procedure) for the manufacture of a company's goods. Most recently, I've been writing grants. It takes a certain amount of talent and experience to handle these kinds of things.

Still, I would like to do just the writing part, and not deal with the headaches that come with the other aspects of my job.

I would like to make visits to isolated elders and bring home-made muffins or breads and make tea and spend an hour every week visiting with them. I would like to have a great staff of caring people that I have trained and provide this service to several communities in my area. I have thought about this for years and even have a great name for my company, but there is one big problem, and that is money. Maybe some wealthy philanthropist will help me, or maybe I will win the lottery. Anyway, that is what I would love to do.

LOL - "lottery".. You just reminded me that I bought two scratch-off tickets today - when I hardly ever do - and forgot to scratch them off! Maybe I can have that book store after all..

My ultimate dream business would be to have a bakery where I could make allergen-free cakes, cupcakes, and treats. (DD has bad food allergies.) I make all the birthday cakes/treats for our family so she can participate in celebrations.

antique/craft mall, where I rent space to folks. I'd be the one at the front desk, or wandering around looking at everyone's things! It would be like xmas every day

I also want to have a little sandwich shop inside, so folks can take a break, have some soup, shop some more...there would also be some nice music piped in, maybe light jazz.
