Thank you for making a place where parents with an only child can go and they can do everything together, no putting the child on a ride and watch them from the side lines while they sit there looking terribly lonely!

No offense intended but I'm not quite sure what you mean by that but if WDW didn't focus a lot on Customer Service and Satisfaction than it wouldn't have big crowds of people most of the year every year. WDW is profit making because of it's customer service and satisfaction. Can you give me an example of what you mean. I don't want to start anything over this but I'm just curious as to what you mean.

We started going to WDW in 1977, there was only 2 resorts and one park. The quality of the world was different then. Alot cleaner, fresh paint, no rust anywhere, every single light on property burned brightly. Along came EPCOT and very little changed, fine quality throughout. Eisner came in and things got alittle different. Seemed to me he took all the profits and started building all the other resorts, not a bad idea but it crowded the parks, solution, build more parks. During the resort boom, park up keep and maintenance seem to slide, we've gone to WDW alot, 40 plus times and we can see the difference over the years. It doesn't bring our vacations down, we enjoy every trip more than the last but we do see the difference. To get as big as Disney has gotten, more employees, maintenance costs up, something had to suffer. Just from my own observation and reading posts on this board, you can see CM's attitudes have changed, resort rooms show wear, park maintenance, painting and trash etc alittle lacking, ride breakdowns, food choices and quality has changed. If you never experienced Disney from the 70's,and 80's you'll have little knowledge of what I speak.

I didn't want to cause a big commotion, but back in the day, Disney was alot different and I think what Walt wanted to keep was that family park with quality and cleanliness and a home feeling like when he took his girls to the park. Commercialization seems to be taking over with out sourcing alot of jobs and services, not to the betterment of WDW. We'll still go, we find our own niche in WDW and not let things bother us but we do discuss the changes. Magical feeling, you bet, will never fade but it ain't like the old days. We like all the attractions and would not change or eliminate any, COP our favorite, others have said to up date, more thrill rides, get rid of some rides, we go to WDW just for the old attractions, the original WDW. Don't build more than you can handle and take care of is all I'm saying, put some of the profit in the employees pockets, they need to make a living, I'm talking about the bottom floor employee, management makes enough, I mean the CM's that the guest see every single day.

I would want to say thank you for letting people have a place to go and be a child, no matter what age they are. Thank you for having the foward thinking and imagination that has now made years and years of wonderful Disney movies. Thank you for being open minded in looking at the world and all the wonderful things in it and making a showcase for them.

To the posts about cost, customer service and stuff. I think that with a place like Disney, yes it's big, yes it can be expensive, BUT, there is no other place that has everything that Disney World offers. There is everything anyone could want. Yes, Eisner took the World and did different things, but that doesn't mean bad. Things need to change to be enjoyable to every generation. If you look at Snow White, she is exactly what was "normal" in 1938. Any character that has been made in every movie takes from their cues from the "time" they are in. "Priceless" isn't just a phrase for a credit card. I believe Disney World is "priceless"

Disney is what Disney is. . . wonderful, childlike, crazy, timeless and most of all MAGICAL!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

i'd give walt a big fat hug and of course, i'll thank him for making the world a brighter place and for reminding us through his work that we should be like children-- innocent, honest, humble :goodvibes

I would simply stand in awe of him, most likely with tears streaming down my face and just say thank you.

I would say THANK YOU for making a place that makes adults and children together laugh and enjoy special family time together and that also makes us cry when, on the last day we all turn and have to go, promising each other WE WILL BE BACK for we know ...it is the most magical place on earth!!!!

I see your point Thank you very much for clearing that up. I experienced WDW in the 80's but I was born in 82 so I was too young to be aware of what you are talking about. I must agree with you a sense of back to basics seems like a great idea. Although the times have brought many different changes. Changes that I guess are a must for any business to survive. I understand and agree with most of what you are saying. Thank you.

I'd certainly say thanks....

but (at least in my dream conversation) I'd also ask him what he thinks of it all. Which parts he likes and which things would he change. Are there some movies that he made that he'd change? Which newer ones would he have not released? What movies would he like to have made now? What rides would he update? Add? Remove?

I would say thank you and that I can't believe I waited 29 years to come to the most magical place on earth...

Thank you. I'd then ask him to change whatever he thought didn't fit into his own idea of what he wanted the parks to be.

But most of all....thank you.
