I would probably be star struck and say something dumb

No offense intended but I'm not quite sure what you mean by that but if WDW didn't focus a lot on Customer Service and Satisfaction than it wouldn't have big crowds of people most of the year every year. WDW is profit making because of it's customer service and satisfaction. Can you give me an example of what you mean. I don't want to start anything over this but I'm just curious as to what you mean.
We started going to WDW in 1977, there was only 2 resorts and one park. The quality of the world was different then. Alot cleaner, fresh paint, no rust anywhere, every single light on property burned brightly. Along came EPCOT and very little changed, fine quality throughout. Eisner came in and things got alittle different. Seemed to me he took all the profits and started building all the other resorts, not a bad idea but it crowded the parks, solution, build more parks. During the resort boom, park up keep and maintenance seem to slide, we've gone to WDW alot, 40 plus times and we can see the difference over the years. It doesn't bring our vacations down, we enjoy every trip more than the last but we do see the difference. To get as big as Disney has gotten, more employees, maintenance costs up, something had to suffer. Just from my own observation and reading posts on this board, you can see CM's attitudes have changed, resort rooms show wear, park maintenance, painting and trash etc alittle lacking, ride breakdowns, food choices and quality has changed. If you never experienced Disney from the 70's,and 80's you'll have little knowledge of what I speak.
I didn't want to cause a big commotion, but back in the day, Disney was alot different and I think what Walt wanted to keep was that family park with quality and cleanliness and a home feeling like when he took his girls to the park. Commercialization seems to be taking over with out sourcing alot of jobs and services, not to the betterment of WDW. We'll still go, we find our own niche in WDW and not let things bother us but we do discuss the changes. Magical feeling, you bet, will never fade but it ain't like the old days. We like all the attractions and would not change or eliminate any, COP our favorite, others have said to up date, more thrill rides, get rid of some rides, we go to WDW just for the old attractions, the original WDW. Don't build more than you can handle and take care of is all I'm saying, put some of the profit in the employees pockets, they need to make a living, I'm talking about the bottom floor employee, management makes enough, I mean the CM's that the guest see every single day.
