If You Could Relive Any Walt Disney World Memory, What Would It Be?

I LOVE this thread! I wanted to add two of my own, one from my childhood and one from taking my own kids.

I don't remember the exact date but I was probably 5,6 and we went to FL with my entire family. My grandfather took me on POTC. I remember being in the boat and coming to the town scene and hearing "We want the redhead!" Well, being a small, redhead...I was terrified. I crawled up in my grandfather's lap and I stayed there the rest of the ride. But I remember the safe feeling I had with him. I think I rode every ride that entire trip with him!:)

On our first trip with my kids, we got into the line to meet Ariel. Both my kids are redheads like me and my DD was obsessed with her. I will never forget going around the corner and finally seeing her for the first time. She looked at both DD and DS, motioned for them for them to come sit by her and when they did, she said, "You two could be my brother and sister with that hair!" Would you like to be in my family?" They were both awe struck (DD was 6 and DS was 3) and all they could do was shake their head yes. It was such a sweet moment, I will never forget it.:lovestruc

I just remembered another. It was our first trip to WDW, and took DD who was 4 at the time to Ohana's for breakfast! This was back when Goofy, Chip and Dale met along with Mickey. When they started the parade around the restaurant, who was leading, but DD, of course Mickey kept stepping around her to get in front, as did DD. It was so cute. We go back to Ohana's for breakfast every trip.

Mine would be to go back to 50s prime time and the hilarious waitresses. It was like a second mom in the restaurant.

My 5 yo daughter giggling uncontrollably after getting off Space Mountain for the first time

This past February, my very overtired friends and i went on the tea cups. I haven't laughed so hard in a while. Nothing particularly funny happened but we just laughed and laughed the whole ride. It was awesome.

Back in1995, my whole family went which included my 2 ds's and my dn( 4,3,and 3). We were sitting behind the UK pavilion while the kids were running through the maze. Next thing we know, Alice is there running around with them too. It was great. She chased them for about 15 minutes. It was so great hearing the kids laughing and seeing them running and hiding looking for Alice to find them. The kids are now in their 20's but we always remember that trip. We are going in August and hoping for some more magical memories.

Mine would be playing with my daddy on the Honey I Shrunk The Kids playground. That playset is absolutely magical and though the movies haven't exactly stood the test of time, I feel like it embodies everything about Disney Magic- a magical playset where you're shrunk down to bug size and you get to explore this amazing, larger than life world.

Actually... I'd love to see a similar playset put in at AK if they do get rid of the HISTK area at DHS. They could theme it to A Bug's Life. Same magic, same experience.

Great memories....thanks for sharing everyone! Reading each one of these memories if magical!

I was introduced to WDW in 1986 when i was 9 by my Uncle Jerry, see he and my mom were 1st cousins and he had a son and my parents had me 1 year later and we are both only children so we grew up like brothers it was always the 6 of us on every WDW trip and just about everywhere else too. To make long story short on June 6, 2000 my uncle lost his battle to colon cancer, my cousin was was father of a 1 year old and i was a single as they come, after my uncle passed my cousin and i planned a WDW trip for November, just the 2 of us. My uncle's favorite ride was POTC, Haunted Mansion, and the Hall of Presidents. We got of the plane dropped the bags and went straight to POTC, both me and my cousin came off the ride in tears. Years have gone by and my cousin and I havent been back to WDW together since for various reasons, but there is a brick paver at the TTC in memory of my Uncle Jerry and i visit it when i am there. Now i live through my daughters eyes and enjoy the magic that WDW knowing my uncle was a part of it.

Mine is simple, seeing my kids face light up when they first walked into MK.

It makes me smile and be thankful everytime that we have the means to take them and make memories for them to share with their children someday.

Forcing my mom onto Space Mountain, not realizing that she didn't know it was A. a roller coaster or B. entirely in the dark. I got quite a few death threats screamed at me during the ride, but at least the family that rode with us said that her reaction was better than the ride itself :thumbsup2

Same thing happened to us the first time I went on with my mother and 2 brothers. Before we rode I kept saying, "It's Disney, how bad could it be?"

20 years later the same thing happened on Mission Space before they made the second version.

They are twirling. This meet and greet was the last thing we did on the day Tropical Storm Debby put her worst on us. I looked like a drowned rat because I had given dd my poncho after concluding even though we had umbrellas her rain jacket would not cover the dress. But this moment, I forgot all that. That whole meet and greet was amazing, but the other two princesses are still there. I'm sad they removed Belle from Town Square.

First family on Expedition Everest!

We've probably ridden 50 times since but this was our very first ride! And, the first year EE was open and the Yeti was fully functional!! This ride was extra special because the train slowed almost to a stop when we approached the Yeti; OMG!!!! Of course we reentered the line; imagine our surprise when the train sped under the Yeti during the next ride.

I love all these memories!

If I could go back to 1998 and re-live the entire trip I would in a heartbeat.

It was me and my hubby and my kids who were 4, 12 and 9. We also had my nephew who was 17 and my step-sister who was in her 20's.

We had a such a magical vacation. I remember the laughter and singing "it's a small world" after getting off the ride. I remember my youngest being picked for the lion King Show and shaking the tambourine with one of the actors.I remember my nephew getting bugs picked out of his hair by King Louie and my 9 year old getting up the courage to ride Space Mountain! I especially remember my step-sister getting of of Splash Mountain with my 12 year old and they were both laughing and singing Zippity do dah!

Sadly we lost my step -sister a few years later. I still have great pictures of all of us at the parks. My favorite is one in front of Epcot of all of us!

My now 26 year old daughter and I visited MK last year for a day. We reminisced about memories we had and it was bittersweet to ride Splash Mountain.

If I could relieve any WDW memory, it would be when my DD (now 10) met the Little Einsteins for the first time. We took her to WDW when she was 3 1/2. She was obsessed with everything having to do with the Little Einsteins: the music, the art work, and of course, the characters themselves. I can still picture her walking hesitantly toward Leo and Annie. The look on her face was one of pure love and admiration. When they wrapped her in a hug, her smile stretched from ear to ear. That moment brought tears to my eyes then and can still bring tears to my eyes today. :wizard:

Gonna post and then go back and read it! But mine would have to be:

-The day that my 63 year old Mom went out into the Street during Move It Shake it to dance with Baloo who immediately got swamped with crazy children. She started to come back a little sad, and who else but Timon grabbed her to dance with him for the remainder of the dance party! He really only had eyes for her and it was a completely and magical experience that I got to witness, her returning to be a kid again!

-Later on the same trip with my best friend we got t meet the Dream Along with Mickey dancers! We both dance and have dreams of dancing at Disney so this was a big thing and pure magic!

My best memory as a child was going on 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, when we went the years after WDW opened. It was amazing to a 9 year old, lol. Would love to go on that ride again. My most recent best memories were when my wife and I went in October of 2008 for MNSSHP, and watching Illuminations sitting on a bench with no one else around holding hands. It wasn't crowded and it was very romantic. All of our trips have been great but those three stick out in my mind.
