If You Could Relive Any Walt Disney World Memory, What Would It Be?

Seeing Wishes for the first time with my DS4 and my parents...the generational connection of experiencing this magic that I had as a kid with my parents and now my son just got me...I was overwhelmed with emotion. (And then, a really sweet thing happened later that night when my DH and DS presented me with a "World's Best Mom" Mickey statue they had sneakily purchased for me!) Topped off a truly magical experience!

Some of my favorite moments (can't stop at one):
First trip 2005- DD3's face when she saw Jasmine approaching at Akershus. Side note- she also had a bathroom emergency at this meal, and I thought since she was wearing a dress I'd just slip new underwear under her dress out at the stroller. But DD was too helpful and still hiked up her dress for me out there in the open :)

Also DD6 got a off-her-feet hug from Goofy after he got off the Character Bus at Epcot (remember that?). We didn't think much of it, but seeing the picture later we think we know where DD now 14 started her love for Goofy.

Later trips- DDs sitting at the edge of the fountain in France at twilight, looking in and sticking their fingers in the water of the calm pool, when suddenly the street lights dim, the pool lights up, and fountains start spurting from the edges. They ran back to us like "What did we do?" and passersby giggled at them.

Being picked as Family of the Day at MK in 2011. And then right after we went to meet Rapunzel and Flynn- a must see as DD9 loved princesses and DD12 thought Flynn was cute. While waiting in line, DD12 drew a "Wanted" poster in her autograph book of Flynn with a big nose. When it was our turn, R&F knew just what to do as Rapunzel took DD9's hand and Flynn put his arm around DD12's shoulders and said "Hey, how you doin". When he saw her autograph book he threw a fit because "they just can't get my nose right!" He was so just like the movie. Rapunzel had a laugh and then Flynn spent some time drawing in the book. One of our best meets ever and definitely our best morning at WDW!

Riding BTMRR during Wishes!

Hanging with a bored Goofy during a very empty Characterpalooza in the Animation Building. The prettiest and funniest Jasmine ever who kissed DD's book and had her over the moon.

Oh I guess this last one is from DL and it was just last week! Again meeting Rapunzel and Flynn. It was just DD11 and I and we were in line trying to figure out what to say to them that would be fun. All our plans went out the window though as right away Rapunzel noticed DD's tiger shirt and asked why she like tigers. DD couldn't think why, so I said because they are like big kitties. They asked if she had kitties and their name. Well she mentioned Miss Kitty only, so I said hey what is our OTHER cat's name- oh yeah it's FLYNN! This hadn't even occurred to us while in line. Flynn's jaw dropped and he was so impressed. R&F carried the conversation from there. They were just so fun and casual.

I've got a lot of very special memories and moments in WDW but if I could relive any memory it would be going to sleep in the FW cabin. As I laid in bed, I was soo tired. My feet were tired, my legs were aching and then I realized even my face was tired. I wondered why my face would be tired, but then I realized why. I had been smiling all day long. I'm sure I was even smiling as I fell asleep.

Ah, Disney moments to relive.

On our last trip, we were at Magic Kingdom during a record-setting rainfall day. Not one of those "quick showers that pass"... it POURED for thirty-six hours straight. Nothing to do but press on, right?

My two little boys (ages 2 and 4 at the time) really wanted to ride Astro Orbiter. Now, I enjoy thrill rides, but I'm not crazy about heights... Astro Orbiter has consequently never been one of my favorites.

But they wanted to ride, and I agreed. My wife stayed at Cosmic Ray's with the baby while I took the little boys on to ride.

We got to the platform, and there were three, maybe four rockets with guests in them. We launched, and the pouring rain became horizontal pouring rain thanks to our momentum. So much for ponchos; we were quickly soaked to the skin.

Naturally, the four year old insisted on taking us as high as we could go, which caused the rocket to tilt like crazy... I was worried that DS2 would fall out. I turned white and held on to them, they laughed with pure joy.

The ride ended, and they wanted to go again. The operator thought we were crazy, but let us stay on. We rode three more times without ever exiting our rocket. At no point were more than three or four other rickets filled. At no point did I ever get much less scared, nor did they enjoy it less.

We finally left to meet my wife, but the boys' eyes were positively shining. Two years later, they still remember that ride and can't wait to go again.

I have many memories I'd like to experience again with my kids, but a trip to WDW and Universal with mom in the 90s would be my choice. We spent a week together in Florida while I was in college and had a blast. We lost her in April, so I'd give anything to have another moment with her.

Not WDW but Disneyland... Going to Disneyland with my parents and riding It's a Small World. I was almost 4 and my sister almost 2. When we got back home to Illinois and in our house, I told my mom I wanted to ride it, "just one more time." This was always one of her favorite stories. She passed away last Christmas Eve. When we went to WDW last week we rode it twice. Both times I teared up thinking of her and that story. Wish I could ride it one more time with her.

Our first trip was in 1997 and out son was 4 1/2 years old. We were watching Fantasy In the Sky (with the birthday castle) from the hub. I was holding him in my arms so he could see the fireworks better and he turned to me and said, "Oh, Daddy. I wish I could live here FOREVER!" (Sorry, but eyes are misty while typing this.) If I could go back to that moment and be able to relive that I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Mine would have to be December 1998. Me, my wife, and then almost 4 yr old son. First trip as a family to WDW. 1st day on bus ride from All Star Sports to MK, my son is sitting at the window and all of a sudden the castle decorated as a cake for the 25th anniversary celebration appears and he lets out a little gasp. Kind of like, holy cow that is amazing. We weren't even inside yet. haha. That had to be our best trip ever. One of those little moments I will never forget.

There are so many memories I would like to relive and threads like these help bring back some of those memories.

Probably the biggest memory I would like to relive was when DD got to spend about 20 minutes by herself with Belle, Cinderella and Aurora. She was chatting away with them as 3 photographers snapped away. Then we were invited to the VIP seating at the 3pm parade which was wonderful.

Another memory is DD’s first trip and we were at Crystal Palace and Piglet was her favorite character. She was so excited to see all the Pooh characters, she was trembling with excitement by the time Piglet came around.

Our first stay at Kidani Village with a savannah view room. When we entered the room, DD and DH headed straight to the balcony, DD comes squealing back into the room with excitement, grabs my hand and pulls me, saying “come see the animals, come see the animals”.

After riding Pirates of the Caribbean, DH is carrying DD up the escalator and she grabs his face between her little hands and says “Again”. She was only about 2 at the time and it ended up being her favorite ride.

Our first trip, son had just finished 1st grade. We had booked All Star Movies and requested Toy Story Building (he was a big fan). We didn't tell him anything in advance regarding the hotel, only that we were going to Disney. When he saw the giant Buzz and Woody/ Andy's room display at the hotel, the look on his face was priceless. Many good trips and memories since, but that one is probably my favorite.

The bartenders were pouring heavy at Jellyrolls one night. I would like to remember what happened afterwards IN THE FIRST PLACE!

I've got a few of the really hit the heart moments that I remember but I prefer to keep them to myself. However, I hae one that might cheer you up a little and keeps me going back because it makes me BELIEVE in Disney.

We were on one of our many trips with just my wife our daughter and twin sons. We had just checked into All Star sports, and we went out the back and starting walking to our room when I looked down and found a money clip with 2 hundred dollar bills, a couple twenty's and some ones. I had the wife and kids stop and I took it back in to the lobby. When I walked back in, the young girl that had checked me in saw me with a questioning look. I told her what I had found and where. She took it and thanked me and said they would report it. She also said that if nobody claimed it they would donate it to make a wish. I thought that was neat.

To finish the story, when I checked out, the bill ended up being $300.00 cheaper than what it should have been. I asked why and they told me that the manager on duty had seen to it that I was rewarded for doing the right thing. He said they were able to locate the person who had lost it, and that Disney also matched the money with a donation to make a wish in my name and they gave me the same in discount. I stood there almost in a daze when the guy said, "we at disney make magic moments all the time, so when we see someone else do it, it makes us happy!".

Sure made the 15 hour drive home a little more pleasant just with the reaffirmation that I did indeed have a place where I want to spend my vacations the rest of my life.

I love it!!!!

Tigger's Ally...that was a great story! What a class act by Disney! (And smart, too, as it made a lifelong visitor out of you and many of us who know that's how Disney operates!)

In 1991, Pluto "stole" me from my husband and took me for a walk around Tomorrowland. It was hilarious! Every time I see him I ask if he remember our "date" in 1991. He always shakes his head "yes." Probably thinks I'm crazy!

We've had so many magical moments at WDW but my favorite is DD riding the Teacup with Alice on our last trip. Luckily we captured it all on video and the photopass photographer took tons of great shots. We purchased multiples and put them Disney frames as gifts for the grandparents and ourselves. I almost cry when ever I see the picture in our living room. :love:pixiedust:

My first is when my cousin who has downs was with us and she loved Disney movies she only go to spend a day with us there but we went to see the princesses and when we got to Aurora she spent about 20 sitting with her and talking her smile was sooo big she was in heaven and she is hard to understand but that didn't faze Aurora at all those pictures are still my favorites.

And having my own children now having my dd5dresses as rapunzel stay at mk for emh when she goes to bed at 7 when she's home living it up while my son who was 2 1/2 fell asleep on dads shoulders we went to laughfloor and Mike nephew ended the show saying we have princesses in the audience and showed my daughter on screen and said here is sleeping beauty and put up my son. My daughter still loves this story and my son said the next day we didn't go to the Lf because as we all know when you go to sleep the world stops...haha
