If you Could Only Go on Thanksgiving, Christmas or Spring Break which would you choose? We are Dvc members and do go every year. We go every year in June and I would like to go another time of the year that we are not sweating our butts off. Also I have never seen the Christmas decorations. Which season of these is less crowded?

Pro's or Con's?
Do they do anything special for Thanksgiving dinner?
MVMCP we have never been.

Well Christmas is the most crowded time, but I would still choose it over Thanksgiving and Spring Break. For us, it was truly magical strolling through the MK on Christmas Day. :santa:

We like Thanksgiving. Crowded yes but the weather is wonderful. It can be hot at Spring break, the cooler weather makes the crowd easier to manage. But it can be downright chilly at night. And all the decorations are up!!

Some restaurants do have special holiday meals but I think most serve their regular meals too. We always do AK on Thanksgiving Day, always nice and not so crowded.

We are DVC and go almost every Thanksgiving. We usually work in at least one other shorter trip through the year. This year we are actually doing 4 night over Easter break for the first time so we will see how crowds compare.
Thanksgiving is crowded but not that bad, we always get to do everything we set out to do. We LOVE the Christmas decorations! There are restaraunts that do turkey and sides but we have actually most enjoyed the Thanksgiving platter at SSR in their food court area and it was only about $8.99. This year we are going to cook in our 1BR. We will have a car to hit the food store.

I have heard Thanksgiving break is slightly less crowded than Spring break. If you usually go in June and want a new experience try November. Christmas decorations will be up and you will be able to attend a Christmas party, the cooler weather is nice.

We went down on Thanksgiving day 2012 and stayed for 10 days. Of course the crowds died down by that Sunday, but black Friday and the weekend after Thanksgiving really weren't that bad. It was our 2nd time seeing most of the Xmas decorations but our first time seeing them all (we'd been down mid-Nov. once when a lot of them were up), it's so beautiful that time of year :goodvibes Having never been down at Christmas I'm just going by what I've seen and heard, but pretty sure Thanksgiving won't be as crowded as Christmas :thumbsup2
Spring Break I don't have experience with either, but I'd go with Thanksgiving just for the decorations!

They don't have Christmas parties during Thanksgiving week. There's one the Friday before and then one on the Sunday after.

I've been during all three times, and if I had to choose one, it would be Thanksgiving.

We enjoyed going the week before Christmas week. It wasn't as crowded and it was really fun to see all of the decorations.

We went this past Thanksgiving and I wouldn't hesitate to go again during this time frame. We stayed at POFQ with our family of 6. I don't ever remember feeling like it was crowded like a Christmas

after going in the summers (June, July, August), I didn't think Spring Break was that crowded by comparison. I got a hot week (upper 80s and fairly humid) but it still cooled off at night. I liked that it was warm enough to swim and lay in the sun a bit. That'd be my pick.

Christmas. Spring Break is just another week, not even considered anything special with us. Thanksgiving, we visit family and enjoy all the fixings. Christmas is the time to vacation and enjoy all the magic at the parks.

Thanksgiving - points are less than Christmas. If you can, stay a few days after Sunday. Airfare will be cheaper and crowds are low. You get all the Christmas decor, the Christmas Party start that Sunday, CP starts on Friday or Saturday.

We tend to be the opposite of IndyRnRfan. We spend Christmas with family and vacation during Thanksgiving.

Having tried all three I would definitely recommend Thanksgiving! The decorations are up and it is a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. The cooler temps were nice and it was drier than any Spring Break we have had there. We had a wonderful traditional dinner at Shutters. The crowd levels at Chrismas were unreal and Spring Break has been nearly as bad, but not quite.

Christmas is magical, did it twice. Did spring break last week march 11 to 17, piece of cake amazing weather. Great visit online check in direct to the room.

Christmas is magical I would choose it again.
