If you could only choose one of the following (in poll), which would you choose??

This is especially for parents of toddlers to teens, but anyone and everyone can vote! :) :)

I would choose SOA. I like it even though it is pretty cheesy. My DGD came with us to see HDDR (My DD and DSIL absolutley refused) and she was hysterical....the show bored her, however my DH was laughing so much he was crying, and she was laughing just watching him.

I am no fan of Mickey's BBQ. TO me it was sheer chaos.

I would choose Hoop-dee-do, though I have never done Mickey’s Backyard Barbecue, so am not able to evaluate it.

We've done both SoA and HDDR - SOA gets the slight edge for me. HDDR was fun and spirited show. We liked that but the food didn't appeal a lot. It's standard BBQ fare. I like the polynesian/hawaiian theme better and loved the theater. The food here is also a bit standard ( chicken, noodles, etc ) but the show was fun and interactive for the younger ones.

HDDR also seemed like it was more a challenge to get to. We had a car so we parked and then a bus had to pick us up to take us to the main area.

I haven’t done Hoop Dee Doo, but I’m sure it’s been popular for so many years for a reason.

I have been to Spirit of Aloha and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Neither the food nor the show were very good.

Backyard BBQ’s menu is pretty low-end for the price they charge. Unless you have a few toddlers with you, I wouldn’t bother with it. Even in that case, I think Chef Mickey would be just as fun plus you get prime rib and air-conditioning. :)

HDDR is an all-time favorite! We've got kids ranging in age from 2.5 yrs to 19 yrs. That said, we're holding off on taking them to HDDR until the little one is a bit older, because the show is loud (very loud at points), and would require her sitting in the chair for over 2 hours.

I've been to all three but actually I wasn't crazy about any of them. The poll didn't have an option for "none of them".
That was my vote as well. We choose our restaurants for the food and get our entertainment at the parks.

I have never done SOA. Did the BBQ once and it was so chaotic, not enjoyable at all. HDDR we have done several times and love it every time.

I really enjoy Hoop De Doo. It's corney, but a lot of fun. The good is decent, but something pretty much everyone likes. The back yard bard BBQ is a cool concept, but it just seems to be missing something. The characters get around pretty good and there is a lot of dancing if you choose to participate. The food it a little bland, but it's burgers and hot dogs and nothing too bad. I have not done SOA yet, I love being at the Poly but the reviews have been pretty meh so I just haven't scheduled it in. It's all Disney though, just go with your gut on what sounds the best for you and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I’ve done three and hands down, HDDR. I have no desire to do the others again. My toddler enjoyed MBYBBQ, but she also enjoys HDDR and we can get just as good character interactions at other character meals. Even if it was a choice between the BBQ and other character meals (unless Chef Mickey’s), I’d pick the other character meal. The food is mediocre hot dogs and chicken, basic picnic food. The food at HDDR, while fried chicken, is very good. And we love the corny Wild West show!

I haven't done any of them yet but HDDR is the only one I'm interested in. I'd like to try it some day. Food looks good, unlimited beer & sangria is a plus & entertainment sounds corny but fun.

Hoop De Doo has been a sentimental favorite for years. It started in 2006 when my then 5 year old (who really dresses up for meals even today) was chosen to ring the bell and open the place. And when one of the entertainers asked us where were from I replied Missouri and he answer was Misery why live in Misery? On our 6th trip which I am working on now the girls have picked this place for a return visit.
