If you could design World Showcase?

Let's say World Showcase hasn't been designed yet. If you were put in charge of designing World Showcase and deciding what countires to include, which ones would you have chosen and why?

I like Paris and Venice (although Venice should be more like The Venetian...indoors with a Gondola ride). I would also keep Mexico just because it is my sentimental favorite.

But, I think the WS should've been made much bigger (shoot...I think WDW could to a whole theme park on this). I definitely think they should've included Ireland. There could be a stage show with Irish step dancers (like the tour they brought in a few years ago).

I also like the idea of Australia. But, I REALLY like the idea of New York City. I know that sounds strange, but wouldn't it be cool to have a theatre like the Hyperion in CA where part of your theme park ticket included a shorter version of a Disney B'way show...like Lion King or Beauty and the Beast? They could change them out every few years...but, try to reflect something that is/was on b'way recently.

I also think the WS should have "sister" hotels attached to a few of the countries. Maybe have a "Streets of Paris" hotel, or a Venice hotel built around the gondola ride (which could attach to the Illuminations lake). These hotels (obviously, deluxe ones) could have their own entrances to Epcot.

It could just be SOOO cool!!!!

The hotel idea is very neat.

I would add Greece, only because I love Greek food!

Australia would be neat, too.

I agree, the hotel idea is a great one!

I think I would make each country a little bigger and put in a ride for each country instead of just having a movie.

I would also probably replace the American Adventure part and put in something that represented different parts of the US: the West Coast, the South, the East Coast, Midwest, Southwest, etc

Then I would put in:

*Spain
*Austraila
*Russia: I think the architecture would look amazing in World Showcase
*United Kingdom
*Norway or Sweden
*Greece
*France
*Mexico
*Germany
*Italy: Because I love Italian chocolate, and instead of just having a gelato stand, I think a gelato shop would be interesting. Also, a pizzeria would be a great addition.
*Japan: I would try to represent different parts of Japan because it's such a fascinating country.

I would put a monorail stop between Future World and WS so the walk out at the end of the day wouldn't be so long
