one country to add to the world showcase (with both a CS and TS restaurant included of course), what would it be? I'm in the mood to dream big tonight! :teeth:

I would love to have Greece represented. Love, love, love Greek food and I think it would be a great addition as it would be a bit different from anything they currently offer.

What country (okay cuisine) do you dream of seeing added?

India for sure. Both for the theming and the dining.

I agree! Plus the fact that it's one of the largest countries in the world, hugely popular cuisine, and yet no pavillion? :confused3
Ditto for Russia (minus the popular cuisine ;) )

Ireland.....gotta represent! lol. such a beautiful place i really wish they'd find a way to squeeze it in there somehow. :cheer2:

Got to go with India as well. I loved visiting India and can't wait to go back in a couple of years, it has great food and lots of stuff that would make useful gifts and such to take home.

I agree with Greece - I LOVE their food too.

Definitely Greece, but I think a Brazil pavilion would be great too. No one represents South America. :sad2:

Another vote for India. Great cuisine, and a culture that is unique and varied enough to support a pavilion.

While the Greek culture is really interesting, I wouldn't want that to be the next restaurant added to the WS. I don't like Greek food - blech! Just my opinion though. I know a lot of people like it.

I think Greece would be a wonderful addition to the WS. But I'd like to see a CS for polish food though also, not a whole place, just the food!! :thumbsup2

I got to go with Austrailia. Heck its a country and a continent. Very nice place to visit! I would love some Shrimp on the Barbie! There isn't a country from that part of the world anywhere in World Showcase..... :)

How about a Russian Restaraunt. I know they are all different little countries now, but I would think there would be a wide range of foods from the area. :stir:

India is a good pick. Maybe Dell computers could sponsor it, I think most of their tech support is now there.

I'd prefer a Russian restaurant because it is something we don't have around here and I think Red Square would be a beautiful pavilion. :)

India. Definitely. Large population -- a significant portion of humanity, really. And a part of the world grossly underrepresented at WDW (though, remember, Asia at Animal Kingdom is themed as an Indian village).

I'd love to see them doing something with the islands in the lagoon, so Greece, or better-yet, Tahiti, would be neat.

I think the most likely scenario, at this point, though, is a Brazil. Also, that might not be a new country, but rather might be a replacement for a country that might pull out of the the World Showcase. (I'm thinking of one in particular... wasn't there to start... probably won't be there forever...)

Which one is that?

I think that South American culture and food is overlooked in the showcase and would like to see that represented. I also agree that Asia in all its diversity is also overlooked and that the park has tooo much importance on Europe and North America but hey thats another topic.but thats my two cents

Egypt would be my choice!! :smooth:

What is Egyptian food like? Is it similar to Morocco? I could definitely see a pavillion for Egypt, but I need some help imagining the restaurant. :confused3

I thought of Inida too, but picked Greece because I love the cuisine. Brazil would be pretty cool and it's true that S. America in completely unrepresented. Love the idea of Australia too. Shrimp on the barbie would be cool.

Russia would be pretty interesting, but I wonder if it would have some of the problems that Norway has, in that the food might not appeal as much to American tastes?

Another idea I had for unique cuisine would be Thailand, although so much of the Thai food I've had is so spicy that it might not go over at WDW.

I would totally vote for Brazil!!! :) The restaurant could be a brazilian steak house that also offers dishes like feijoada (a black bean stew). And the counter service can offer the "street food" like stuffed pao de queijo (a cheese bread stuffed with different fillings) and have caipirinha for their signature drink for drinking around the world. Yum!
Oh and the ride can be a boat ride where you float down the amazon. Or you can have a Rio based ride where you climb sugar loaf mtn or a trolley and end up in carnaval.

The possibilities are endless.

nah..I haven't given this any thought at all... :thumbsup2
