I surprised no one has mentioned 1900 park fare. Lovely hotel and bright airy dining area, excellent buffet choices then Mad hatter and Mary Poppins. We love it there!
Another vote for Crystal Palace. That 8:05 ADR is my favorite. Walking down an empty Main St. and getting "crowd free" pictures of the castle is priceless! The puffed french toast just makes the experience complete...YUM!!
Tusker House!! Crystal Palace is nice, but don't forget...while it's lovely to walk down Main St when it's empty, but you miss the morning celebration (and something about the hustle and bustle of the crowd adds to the magic IMHO)!
Love the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare..........they have delicious strawberry soup and an omlet station..........delicious. I also like Tusker House, but the last time we were there they were shuffling people in and out so fast that we did not get to enjoy it.............they even told us that if a character went by and we weren't at the table that they would not come back. I found that to be a bit rude of them. They were clearing our plates while we were still eating off of them, and the waiter even took my daughter's donut away and she hadn't even taken one bite yet. They were telling us to finish up because they wanted to clear out that section to set up for the next round of people.
If I could only choose one it would be Crystal Palace. I'm a Pooh and Friends Lover.
I even did a bedroom over (the room Grandchildren use) in a Disney Theme. I painted murals on the walls. Most of them Pooh and Friends scene's. My GC call it the Pooh Bedroom. Although there are other scenes. Mulan and Friends, Brer Rabbit scenes. Mickey and Friends scene, Alice and Wonderland scene. At the request of my 5 year old GS I am not doing a Star Wars scene.
We just did the Cape May breakfast our last trip and really enjoyed it. The food quality was far superior to our breakfast at Hollywood & Vine. Seemed a lot less chaotic as well.
FYI - There was so much talk about Tusker House, and I couldn't see this mentioned as I read through the entire thread: Donald no longer appears in the restaurant at tables. You may see him outside the restaurant (like at CRT) for photos. Other characters still do the table rotation.
Fav breakfast is tied (we've eaten at every single character breakfast):
- 1900 PF - great food, fab characters & lovely atmosphere
- Cape May Cafe - great atmosphere (not chaotic at all), good food and great characters
Oh my, this is hard. I think I've done them all (except 'Ohana). I would choose Crystal Palace, Tusker House, or Akershus. Crystal Palace has the best breakfast, but I love Akershus for the Princesses.
