If you booked the member cruise, HOW did you do it?

I'm curious how you all swung it. We *just* managed it on points only, as we hadn't already dedicated what was needed. Feel free to comment!

All Points. I used up some banked points from my OKW and BWV contracts. I had some points from current use year at Vero and borrowed the rest from my Vero use year. I have 670 points, so plenty to play around with, lol.

I generally stick to Vero points for my cruises. I like to keep the OKW and BWV so I have 11 month booking availability when I need it.

Used both points and cash - dh didn't want to use up all the points for next year so we can continue our 3 times a year visits to our favorite place!

All pts and I just made it. Me, DH and DD (4 yrs old) are going to BWV's for a week then onto the cruise BUT I only have 34 pts now until September 2004. I hope they have some good discounts next year at WDW, I'll need em!! We are really looking forward to meeting everyone on the cruise.

We used points for DH and myself, cash for DD.

We had borrowed some of our 2003 OKW points for our Christmas/NYE trip this year, but we still had almost all that we needed to cover it. We borrowed 48 points from 2004. We're just happy that we have a February use year.

We haven't touched our VWL points, so that left plenty for the trip in June that we're thinking of taking.

We used all points. Plus, we have some left for spring break, and 2 weeks in the summer for next year.

We used up all remaining points we have coming to us for 2002 in December at BWV & BCV and dipped into a few points for 2003 at VWL. DH is so excited about this trip that he's trying to figure out if we can take a few extra days off work before the cruise to hit the parks.

It's not so much the cash part, but having to pay it all right now sure hurts!!!!

Would have liked to have only put down the deposit....but just couldn't part with the points!! LOL!!

ALL POINTS
Never got to use any points this year (my daughter is getting married next month) no vacation in 2002. I will make up for it in 2003 starting with the members cruise followed by a trip to Mexico in May or June and ending the year with taking the western cruise in September.

We used banked points from last use year and also booked 3 nights at OKW after the cruise and still have points left over!

Thankfully, we had enough points... with a March use year, that was tough! We had to borrow and now only have 11 points to use in 2003! But, we decided this was worth it for us, and to get 2 days at Castaway Cay... we love it there!
