I called on the 26th just to get my points balance, I was not going to call to actually reserve my room until the 27th, or Monday because today is Saturday. The CM told me the phones had be going crazy all week, with people calling on a day to day basis for Thanksgiving week. The rooms were booking up fast. So, I said I would book the dates up to the 26th, and call back Monday for the last date. I am so glad I did, because he said it seems that OKW 2 bedrooms were what was going, and that is what I wanted. I got a room, but I just want let you know, if you have the 11 month window opportunity, take it. Don't wait, you may be sorry! Just a little FYI

We just booked our Thanksgiving trip this week day by day as well. I just had a feeling that i should not wait until Monday to book November 20-27 on the check out date. Got a 2 bedroom dedicated (2 queen beds) with requests for Non - smoking, Epcot view. We will be taking my parents with us and they have never been to Disney World. And to make this whole trip even better, it will be my birthday on the 21st. Yes, I know 37 year old children aren't suppose to be so excited, but it will be first time I have ever gotten to celebrate at Disney. My DH and DD 10 and DS 3 will also be very excited. SAB here we come!!!  :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

You will be there the same dates we will be! We are taking some friends who haven't been to Disney since 1990!! So this will be like a first trip for them!

Are you turning 37 in 2004? If so, you are only a few weeks older than me! I will turn 36 on January 2nd. Yes, us 30-spmethings are allowed to be just as excited as the kids. Maybe even more so!

I booked 2BR dedicated for SSR for Nov. 21 - 25. It will be our (DW & four DD) first trip "home".

P.S. I turn 36 tomorrow!

Dave

Wow. I really didn't want to book day-by-day, but it sounds like I have to as I am going the week after Thanksgiving. And I have to do 2 rooms.

zulaya you will definitely need to book day by day - the first two weeks of December are probably the most popular time with DVC members -

I made my reservations last week wanted a BWV standard studio - they have lots of them when I made my reservations.

I neglected to say I am at BCV so I don't have the issue of the SV vs PV. I know it's busy...we;ve been in Dec several times. Just was hoping to not have to call day by day.

"Me, me, me!" (Raising hand and jumping out of seat)

I just booked at BCV a studio 11/23-27/04 and a two bedroom 11/24-28/04. I was on hold about 10 minutes.

FYI - for anyone who is interested- I am hoping to switch to VWL at the 7 month window. Any swappers out there?

But if it doesn't happen, I'll still be thrilled to be home at BCV on T-Day.

(Sitting down, blushing, jumping back up to add-)
"I am also 36."

Tammy;)

So I have nothing to do with this thread other to say I am in the 30ish crowd as well - 37 to be exact and I get just as if not more excited than the kids about WDW

thanks

I agree with Disney1fan2002, it seems better to call everyday for reservations. Just book our trip Nov. 23-30 @OKW & SSR.

Book early to get your dates!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are DVC resorts the only ones affected thus far for TG week? We plan to stay off-site (unless we win a lottery  ), so I wonder how this will affect crowds throughout WDW.

I've been dreading going back during that week since reading posts from this year's travelers, then seeing the holiday special on the Travel Channel. I'm figuring countless numbers of guests would want to be there during the holidays after seeing that Samantha Brown's special.

We went TG week in 1999 and have been looking forward to going back since our return.

We booked day by day and I also called yesterday to get the 7th night in an OKW 2BR . We are going Nov 20th to 27th as well.

I just booked our TG 2004 trip.... a 2BR at VWL. I booked the entire week in 1 call. No problem!
