Tropical Storm Charlie is expected to reach at least a category 2 hurricane by this afternoon. Landfall is expected Friday afternoon or early Saturday at Tampa, moving across the Orlando area Saturday. Winds from a cat 2 are between 97 amd 110 m.p.h.

The weather folks here are saying this one is coming and we will feel it. How much we will feel it is hard to tell. So if you have a trip planned down here this weekend come prepared for the possibility of lots of water and wind.....

Bonnie is also headed at Florida and is expected to make landfall in the pan handle Friday morning!

So I've heard. :( The kids and I are coming tomorrow, my DH on Friday. A hurricane wasn't quite the thrill ride I was hoping for.

Everyone stay safe!

 We are starting our drive down on Friday, and are planning on being in MGM by early afternoon on Saturday for our PS at 50's PT.

yeah, thursday through sunday is gonna get pretty rough down here, so all you guys headed here, please PLEASE drive carefully & wear your seatbelt at all times :)

My in-laws are heading back to their home along the western coast of Florida. I hope this doesn't delay them leaving! ;)

can someone point me in the direction of a website that has this info? i'm supposed to be travelling to tampa later this week for work.

thanks!

i guess there are good chances of getting a second raincheck for minigolf this weekend :p

i'll just have to keep and eye on weather.com and prepare myself for gettin' wet!

Of course, we're headed to MCO on Friday afternoon and we were planning to drive to Tampa. Our plans may be changing!

Yikes! Everyone stay safe, and keep Mickey dry!

Right now we are getting TONS of rain from Bonnie, and she has not even hit land yet. Should be an interesting week once Charley arrives.

I can't believe how much rain we have had in the past month, let alone just this past weekend. And now, we're going to get more. Ugh! Oh, well, we can't have the good without the bad.

Honey, I'm home and I brought my dinghy.

With my newfangled satellite radio I have one of my presets set to Orlando weather--I'll be listening and hoping everyone stays safe!

As of right now the predictions do not look good for us in Port Charlotte. We already have standing water on the ground.:( The current path prediction from NHC shows us getting a direct hit. Please take care, driving in this weather is very dangerous.

edit (can't spell worth a darn)

Unfortunately predicting the course of a hurricane is not an exact science. They can't say exactly where it will make landfall. Theses storms are delaying my daughter's departure for Ohio as she would be in the path of 2 storms. I'm looking at that positively. I get a few more days with my kid.
Praying for all in the path of the storm.
